A guy down the road from me has an ’03 2500 4x4 auto with a toasted 5.7 (he ran it out of oil). The truck was a work truck; it is a 4-door with a long bend and has over 100K. It looks like he drove it to and from work everyday, construction or whatever; used it to pull something around, cables chains, pintle hitch in back, and just ran it until it died. It has a few scratches here and there and typical dents in the tailgate, bald tires etc.

What do you think something like this would be worth? Considering what it will take to bring it back to life? If I brought it back what could I sell it for as a work truck, or maybe keep it as a beater?

 

could be cool to throw a 12 valve in it? It can't be worth more than a few grand in the shape it's in, especially since it had a hemi and not a cummins.

 

Get it as cheap as possible, then find a wrecked SRT-8 and throw the 6.1L in there! That would be fun.
