Been driving a rental 2011 1500 2wd Ram 4.7L auto for the last two months. Just got a call that I they are going to come and swap it out due to a recall. Just curious if anyone out there knows what the recall would be?

The attached applies to my wife's 2011 with the HEMI and 3.55 rear end. Don't know if it applies to the truck you've been driving or not.

 

Thanks for the reply, good to know. I bet that was it. They were pretty adamant about getting it back ASAP.

Now I am stuck in a POS Silverado.

POS Silverado doesnt have a faulty axle design, nor any safety recalls that could cause you to loose control and wreck.

got my letter in the mail called and they said its been back ordered. I really don't think its going to cause any problem but to make sure they put out a recall. At least its not their entire lineup like Toyota

 

True! Toyota's whole claim to fame was safety and reliability. But like every other company out there looking to make as much profit as possible they let the bean counters take over and cut corners to save pennies on each vehicle. Where did the companies go with quality they could stand behind? Seems to be lost these days.
