I've weighed repeatedly at the dump. It always comes out about 6870 lbs. Thats with a rubber bed mat, a tool box and a few odd things aboard. My certified weight was 6240 lbs. But that was as light as possible with no tailgate, spare tire or fuel. I "might" even have been lifting up on the fender well a bit.

Both the '98 & the '05 normally weigh 9K#... race trim is about 500# less.

We carry a bottle of helium in the bed for the tires to help make the class weight.

I parked next to the edge of the scales and was lifting up as hard as I could while he casually went in and looked at the weight. I was surprised he didn't notice the difference when he went in! What? I don't know.

All that was after they caught me trying to park with one wheel off the scale. Who? Me?

Just could not break that 6000 lb barrier.
