I might have some of each as well let me know, I have 2 - Broncos (78 & 79) that I converted to 3/4 ton running gear with 4 wheel disc brakes..

Like pind posted these are repairable, just build the inside up with some brass and have it machined down to specs (been there done that many times)

Re-Read what I asked for there buddy..

I know your looking for the "Bearing" Hub there is two styles of them..

One has the slide in type locking hubs

The other has a bolt (6) on style locking hub

Unless these were ran into the self destruction mode they should be repairable like pind and I posted. You are probably going to find that the used hubs you find are worn and need rebuilt too..

Some pictures would go a long ways

When I got refered to the site, I went on and could'nt find the hubs either. A phone call makes a difference.

Sort of, yes. I don't need the whole kit because it doesn't matter how far they stick out. The wheel covers them by at least 8 inches.

NOW I see what you're saying! Mine has the 6 bolts holding the locking hub into the inner splines. But, I DO think the hubs where the bearings ride ARE past the self-destruct mode... I can flop the race around in there by an eighth of an inch, easy.

I'm going to get the hubs back from NAPA tomorrow if they haven't found anything yet. I'll take pics for you when I get them.

That's on my 'to-do' list for Monday AM.

Chaikwa, my brother in law is a veritable wealth of info on parts cross referencing for 4x4 parts. They may be available, just not listed under the part #'s you are after. If you hit a dead end let me know.

PS He's also editor of JP magazine and has been marinating in anything 4x4 his entire life.

Thanks Kurt! If you get a chance to talk to your BIL, that would be great. Even if I DO find them, it would be good info to have for future use.

Something tells me I'm going to need the info sooner rather than later tho.

Talked to my buddy earlier. He said he has an entire axle and does not want to part it out.

No problem pal, he did not say he wouldn't sell the entire axle, so that may be an option for you.

It may be my ONLY option at the rate I'm going. I'm going to make a bunch of calls tomorrow so we'll see what happens.

Yes, they're on my call list this morning. I want to get the part number from the parts store so when I call, we're sure to be talking about the same thing!

Chak, I have one from a 79...... I have been trying to trade it for one from a 93-97, but no luck so far.

Mine is a 3.54 geared unit........If you end up null joy locally, PM me and we can discuss.

Ordered 2 used hubs today from Extreme Axle. He swears they're going to be what I need as they were the only hubs used on king pin equipped, 78 thru 92 Dana 60 axles in the Ford application. We'll see I guess. The others, like what I originally ordered from NAPA, are for the Dana 44 which was used in the same applications in those years and tagged as 60's.

I figured those guys could help you out. They are top notch! I hope it works out for you. It would have been bad to get those hubs from NAPA only to find out that they were the half breed 44 hubs.

We DID get the hubs from NAPA... fortunately, the guy is pretty decent and didn't expect me to pay for them. He didn't know any more about them than I did at that point.
