110 wire feed welders

I'm looking for a wire feed welder and want some input on what is good and what to avoid. This will be used for "hobbying" not for business/production heavy use.
I've been considering a Lincoln MigPac 10 but wonder how much for a gas bottle.
Thanks, Chris

Re:110 wire feed welders

I have the miller 135 with the shielding gas. I love it the bottle lease is the expensive part. I did a life time lease and it was about 200 dollars. You get 100 back when you turn in the bottle. I think Lincoln, Hobart, and Miller all make good machines. I got the free cart with the Miller. I like the way the wire feed is also.

Re:110 wire feed welders

You can weld thick metal with a 110. I work at a mine where we run 480 volt welders. The point is we multi pass with those as a person might multi pass with a 110. You have to be doing alot of welding to need a huge duty cycle. If your not sure what duty cycle is than you probably don't need a bid welder. I have built several trailers with the 110 with no trouble.
