03' Neon opinions

I am looking at buying an 03' Neon with 62,000 miles on it. I have heard both good and bad about the Neons. Anyone have any opinions.??

I rarely ever see one in our dealership which is a good thing. However, that may also be due to the clients that generally buy them. They may not want to pay more money. However, they seem to be good little cars. You get what you pay for. For a little commuter car they are great. Get decent mileage. The car will fall apart before that 4 banger does. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any serious issues that they have.

I found an '01 for my GF's daughter. Check the lower A-arm bushings. This one's rear bushings were shot, but I didn't catch it. My dodge dealer said it was typical of a neon with 85,000 miles or so. Otherwise, it's a nice solid little car. Despite it's little engine, it seems to get out of its own way.
