I've been on a fairly strict diet lately... trying to get that six pack back, I'm pretty close! Gotta look good for the promotion board photo if you want to get promoted.

It's one of those things where ya won't know how hard it's hit ya till ya try to walk

Edit: you can substitute rum for tequila if your msking it for the girls/Yankees ........
Why waste good fruit? Whiskey/bourbon/scotch and water does just fine!

Mornin, y'all. Sorry I don't post much anymore... life is full speed. Whenever I do come around there's normally 400 pages and I don't have time to catch up. Still living the good life, can't complain. I'll try to be more regular, but I just started college classes this week... I have a feeling my free time is going to be next to nothing.

Hope everyone has a good one.

Hey Madhat, two things. If you are having trouble with 'regularity', Bark recommends prune stewed Shrews. Second, what is your area of study in college going to be?

Afternoon all. Got a nice little thunderstorm here this afternoon. Lost power, (there's a surprise), and got about an inch of rain. Now the sun's out and it's more humid than it was before the storm. I think I'm in Florida.

Congrats Rick.

madhat, pind and all you others-- your "sixth string" posts make checking into the breakroom worth while.

What a weird two weeks my Wife and I have been having. I will tell you about it when I can put a positive spin on it.

If you can, put all of your in-laws and relatives you can't stand on a luxury charter boat and arrange for it to blow up when it is 50 miles from shore.
Oh, make sure they serve poisoned free food to them before it blows and maybe even have a PBR as a chase boat to assist any survivors from making it back to shore.
And as always, Don't worry, be Happy.

You can insinuate anything you wish, you just can't come right out and SAY it!

There's GOT to be a story behind that statement, and we wanna hear it!

It is Wednesday, August 20th.

1741 - Danish navigator Vitus Jonas Bering discovered Alaska.

1866 - The National Labor Union in the U.S. advocated an eight-hour workday.

1866 - It was formally declared by U.S. President Andrew Johnson that the American Civil War was over. The fighting had stopped months earlier.

1914 - German forces occupied Brussels, Belgium, during World War I.

1940 - France fell to the Germans during World War II.

1953 - It was announced by the Soviet Union that they had detonated a hydrogen bomb.

1955 - Colonel Horace A. Hanes, a U.S. Air Force pilot, flew to an altitude of 40,000 feet. Hanes reached a speed of 822.135 miles per hour in a Super Sabrejet.

1967 - The New York Times reported about a noise reduction system for album and tape recording developed by technicians R. and D.W. Dolby. Elektra Record's subsidiary, Checkmate Records became the first label to use the new Dolby process in its recordings.

1977 - Voyager 2 was launched by the United States. The spacecraft was carrying a 12 inch copper phonograph record containing greetings in dozens of languages, samples of music and sounds of nature.

1998 - Canada's Supreme Court announced that Quebec could not secede without the federal government's consent.

1998 - U.S. military forces attacked a terrorist camp in Afghanistan and a chemical plant in Sudan. Both targets were chosen for cruise missile strikes due to their connection with Osama bin Laden.

1998 - The U.N. Security Council extended trade sanctions against Iraq for blocking arms inspections.

Today's thought:

C0ffee and ph00 are ready!

I can fully understand both of these statements. Maybe it's the Alaska translation thing.
