I think it stands for 'dumb'. Or the other 'd' word that sounds like 'ham' but starts with 'd'. Not very nice for the person being referred to, but it is what it is I guess.

Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope everyone has a great one!
Gonna get 2 Christmas dinners this year. One at my Mothers after work today and 1 tomorrow when we'll have Christmas at my home since I have to work today. I worked it out with Santa to make a special run for us....
I'm hoping it warms up enough I can smoke the turkey like I planed.... If its still -25* I don't think I can keep the smoker warm enough to do the job but we'll see.....

I use a brine on chicken and smoked turkey legs. IMO its way better than injection.
Save the injector though, chaikwa is about at that age where a guys butt starts to fall off. He can use it to plump up.
First year in a long time we have had children around. Forgot how much fun they can be (and how noisy).
It was great watching the little ones discover the mouse traps I put in their stockings.

Had a great morning watching my wonderful family open presents, had both laptops working skyping the grandparents, everyone got to see the grandkids open presents.
I won't lie, tho, I'm kinda depressed. Poppa's (dad's dad) health is declining slowly, such a huge and strong man reduced to barely being able to get out of his chair on his own. It really depresses me that my dad won't push him to get some physical therapy... that's all he really needs.
I talked to them today, obviously for Christmas, but I make a great effort to call my grandparents (both sides) every weekend at a minimum. My granny (dad's mom) thanked me for 'being so thoughtful and remembering them so often'... I know that my sister (don't claim her) and others don't pay them the attention that they deserve, and her saying that makes me feel horrible here with my family, not being there with them.
Sorry to be such a kill joy, just felt like venting a bit. Just be thankful for what you have, I am. I'm also thankful that I have family to miss, even if it is in a sad way.

Anyways, I had a great evening, got a book about farming equipment, good food, good beer and watched the kids almost go into orbit on a combined sugar/presentopening high.
