Hey Shorts, how is the one armed wonder? I was in Houston for business a couple of weeks ago and I was wondering how you were doing. It was a funny thing. The temps were in the mid 70's, I was walking around in short sleeves admiring the beautiful warm weather and the locals were talking about the cold

Wowwee - - - I almost waited too long - - - only a couple left. Grabbing mine before CrazeeCanuck makes it in here. Up early, off to therapy, then learned the father of DIL is in the hospital in pitiful shape. Can hardly breathe and just learned he has cancer. Sad - - beautiful person. So, spent the rest of the day with him - - just got back and had supper. Thought I would stop in and say boo. Thanks for the goodies there, mom. I might even indulge in a cup of normal java tonight - - I could stand the boost. Sad day to see a friend in that kind of shape. Hope he makes it. I rely on him to butcher my deer when I make it out hunting. He is good.

I need to go sit a wind down - - - later. .......................

Morning all. Hmmmmm fresh pumpkin bread and coffee Nice way to start my Tuesday. Thanks Lary.

Popped my head in here yesterday and was going to post, but then got offended when I noticed that JWBM was playing favorites and only gave cinnamon rolls to Fiver and Top. Something wrong with the way I comb my hair or maybe the deodorant I am (not) using? Hmmph!

Bob, feel for you. It's hard when old friends go downhill like that.

Got a lot to do today, so am getting an early start. Need to be on the road no later than 7:45. Truck is loaded with my tools and stuff I need for the jobs, so just need to complete my morning ablutions, eat, answer some mail and go.

Absolutely glorious weather here lately. Even better than our normal Paradise weather. The day breaks somewhat fresh, but as soon as the sun comes up, the temperatures climb rapidly and stabilize around the medium high 20's C or 70's F. Almost unbelievably blue skies and low humidity. Even although the actual temperature is not that high, the direct sun burns. The shade feels wonderful.

May all of you have a glorious and fruitful day.

Lary - -you are all right - - I don't care what your wife says, I think you are great. ...................................and my favorite ph00...................

Just stopped long enough to have an omelet and see what the ph00 was, and then back at it.

Stan, sounds like you are at my house - - only difference is we are hitting the high 70's during day and low 60's at night - - wonder with all the doors/windows open and let the breezes blow thru - - fairly low humidity here also. Nice.

Gone,
Bob

Back to work. I wonder if I'll remember how to do this. Oh, while I was out 1 of my airplanes got scrapped over a 1/4" bolt hole. A million dollar airplane scrapped over a 1/4" bolt hole. Stinking lawyers.

Hey TG, doing well. Shaking off this virus cold/flu thing I've had for the past two week. I saw you were in 'Youston. These cold fronts had us running for blankets, long sleeves and hot chocolate

Howdy howdy JWBM. Thanks for the good stuff

Howdy howdy!
Been busy here, new corral is about completed, one gate to hang and it's done
New waterlines trenches and laid , 42 inches down oughta keep horses/tractors and cattle from cracking them again
Trench is back filled and compacted,
Tractor hydraulics repaired ( burst a line in the FEL and got a hot hydraulic fluid shower the other day)
And garden tilled under and reseeded to grass, breaking a new plot for next year

TG , I had a 2000rpm 3pt tiller that sounded like a jet plane when it was going, never liked how it tilled tho...now I use a walk behind rear tine tiller that although it's more wirk, does a better job

Ok gotta scoot
Y'all play nice and BSafe!!

yayyyyy! Lord of the Plains! all those chores and you were kinda safe....lol

yup, here in paradise it was 80 degrees! 8am run lasted about 30 minutes before a warm up- it was windy and dropped from 60 to 45 degrees in the valley. visited bro in law on the state line hill- 70 degrees and beautiful down into PA. picked up 14 inch bandsaw (on motorcycle utility trailer)
and enjoyed the scenery and back roads all the way home. did see an eagle -yay.

so no one feels left out (sorry mexstanimal) I am sharing a PA special dish that tasted awesome! shredded pork in sauerkraut on top of mashed potatoes with a boiled hot dog. I was unsure; but after the first taste, I ate like a local. hubby even had raisin pie. I always thought that was fiction..

400 miles, home feels great! time to hit the showers....

83 degrees yesterday, now calling for sleet by the weekend. Time to throw coats gloves and stuff in the truck. Soon as I get the back seat filled, watch it hit 80 again.

Twisted my neck somehow so now my arms tingle and ache. Last time it took about a month to work itself out. Lesson learned, do NOT use home made ramps loading yard tractors. The results last for years after you tip over backwards and upside down off the truck when the ramp breaks. Glad I got a big bottle of aspirin!
