Polarco,
That should be BB-55, not CV (aircraft Carrier)

Under the old naming system, battleships (BB) were named after states, cruisers (CA, CL, CG, CG(N), were named after cities, submarines (SS, SSN) after fish and famous people (SSBN).

Now, with politics and money involved, you will see cruisers named after famous battles, submarines after states, and so on. It's cornfusing for this old squid.

Good to see you around again Bruce.

Sittin' at home (NorVa) this morning back on High Speed Internet (Thank goodness).
Still on "Work Stoppage" from Mother Bell.

Last night's heavy storms should give the management something to do.
(like they're not already backed up with orders and troubles)
More storms in today's forecast.

madhat, I'm going to get after it again. It's personal now.

Blake, everything sure is green. How do they do that?

chaikwa, I'm up. I know I'm a little late from the first fire drill call. How come a hot fireman didn't come to find me??

ok, sending rain down south. buckets of it. glad I live on a 'mountain'.

son passed motorcycle road test, excellent course and the instructors (coaches) were super he said! dodged raindrops, more riding time. really surprised at the high level of science, one on one and almost race car driver-like presentation he described. dang! two bikes my hubby took in a month ago haven't even been touched by the Jap bike mechanic. ....

time to dig through auto parts in the barn, toss things and organize. one side done, tools and parts on this side uuuughhhh been avoiding it too long. looked online for a better way of storage, even broke down and called chaikwa- Mr. Clean with hair. just have to get to it.

polarco- always cool to tour the ships. cool to scuba on them too, but dangerous.

Evening DTR.
Yeah Mee too

I support the USS New Jersey with buying battleship license plates. I have 3 or 4 sets of plates I pay for every year.

Is that the WW2 Hornet? I thought that sank

mentally worn out, cheated on working and came in with hubby for lunch. I should be a local NAPA with all these friggin' brand new parts........

easier to come in and pay bills. son took home fresh made brownies yesterdaywas looking for them..... that's okay.

have to break down and buy a new grill, my 27 year old char broil had the grates disappear when hubby tossed them in the tin pile for scrap. i was gonna fix them.......again. oh well. looking at one that folds flat for easy transport on the road......motorcycle trip?

Let the early bird have the worm..

With a little patience you can have an omelet for breakfast and fried chicken for dinner..
