A word of advise to those who are thinking of working on their own plumbing..
While laying on your back, under the sink, attempting to attach the water supply lines with a wrench and you need to reach for another wrench to hold the lines still while you tighten them...... DO NOT let go of the first wrench, assuming that it also wants the job done and will assist you by levitating while you get the other one....
The lousy ******* will wait till you are feeling safe, despite what you know about the laws of gravity, and then it will fall right into your eye, hard enough to leave a dimple in your eyebrow..
Dont ask , just trust me on this one..

Evening all. Made it to Baxter, hope I make it out. I got to visit with Mark this morning. He was traveling through Birmingham on his way east, as was I, and when I called him he was only about 9 miles west of my location. We stopped just over the Georgia line and got to chat for about 30 minutes before we both had to hit the road again. Good to see you again buddy!

YAY! HOT WATER!!
Borrowing a 20 lb cylinder off a friend, got the regulator off the big tank and on the cylinder. Had to loosen a fitting to get the gas to the water heater, but I GOT HOT WATER AGAIN!!!
Big tank gave up when it got cold last week. Waiting on the co-op to bring more.
Dad and uncle should be here Wednesday. Don't know how long they are staying, hopefully through the weekend, since the boss will be gone til Thursday and I can't take the whole day off. Hopefully dad brings my big-**** flat wrenches (go up to 2 1/2 or 3") and the big Husqvarna. He was going to just bring his old Stihl (MS280 I think) but it needs gas lines and maybe a carb. Dealer told him if it needs a carb a new saw would only be another $30 so he just bought a new one.
Never did find mine that the boss lost. I have a feeling it rolled out the back of the truck on the way to town.
That tree I couldn't ID, I found another one. About 100 feet from the house. I was looking around at what I want to cut down and what I want to keep today and it was in behind some bushes.
It didn't show up but the edge of the leaf is really jagged.
Got a couple elms with some massive branches that need to come off, and some stuff on the road bank that needs to come down so I have a decent line of sight north from the driveway. Got a bunch of smaller elms knocked down up on top of the hill. Want to plant some fruit trees there and some spruce in the tree claim to make it a better wind break. And hopefully this big fugly elm in the yard right beside the house and garage can be taken down this summer. I won't do it, I know I will drop at least half of it on a building, likely both halves. Couldn't even do it with a backhoe because there isn't room to get lined up for a good push on it.

Just came in from the garage - - it is flooded. GGGRRRR - - - as if I don't have enough projects under way around here, the water heater is shot. Oh well, it's just money. So there goes my morning - - draining it now. Think I will head to bed and get some shut eye. Ya'll be good.

Congrats. Thats another one of those things you dont miss until you dont have it.
That sounds like something I should have done .
Now that is really neat. It doesnt work out that way very often.
**I was just thinking, King Louis XVI was a pretty nice guy right up to when he lost his head. Maybe I dont want to be king.**
Yikes, hope you got it before it did any water damage.
I went to replace my parents water heater in CA. The guy at Sears wanted to tack on an extra $45 bucks for a permit (the heater was only $135 on sale).
Turns out you even need a permit to replace shingles on your roof.
Anyway, the older guy at the counter told me that I don't actually need the permit until I am ready to install it.
Than somebody broke into the garage and maliciously installed the new heater.
I would have called the cops but dont know what their number is.

Morning all. It's Monday again. March 4th to be exact.
1634 - Samuel Cole opened the first tavern in Boston, MA.
1766 - The British Parliament repealed the Stamp Act, which had caused bitter and violent opposition in the U.S. colonies.
1778 - The Continental Congress voted to ratify the Treaty of Amity and Commerce and the Treaty of Alliance. The two treaties were the first entered into by the U.S. government.
1789 - The first Congress of the United States met in New York and declared that the U.S. Constitution was in effect.
1791 - Vermont was admitted as the 14th U.S. state. It was the first addition to the original 13 American colonies.
1794 - The 11th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was passed by the U.S. Congress. The Amendment limited the jurisdiction of the federal courts to automatically hear cases brought against a state by the citizens of another state. Later interpretations expanded this to include citizens of the state being sued, as well.
1826 - The first railroad in the U.S. was chartered. It was the Granite Railway in Quincy, MA.
1837 - The state of Illinois granted a city charter to Chicago.
1908 - The New York board of education banned the act of whipping students in school.
1933 - U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt gave his inauguration speech in which he said "We have nothing to fear, but fear itself."
1986 - "Today" debuted in London as England’s newest, national, daily newspaper.
1989 - Time, Inc. and Warner Communications Inc. announced a plan to merge.
1998 - Microsoft repaired software that apparently allowed hackers to shut down computers in government and university offices nationwide.
1998 - The U.S. Supreme Court said that federal law banned on-the-job sexual harassment even when both parties are the same sex.
1999 - Monica Lewinsky's book about her affair with U.S. President Clinton went on sale in the U.S.
2002 - Canada banned human embryo cloning but permitted government-funded scientists to use embryos left over from fertility treatment or abortions.

#3, a Toshiba is still working. The first one was just defective, the second one was windows 8. Both of the Asus laptops. Already running AVG, a good AV program.
A new morning and a new grip. Ain't life wonderful!
Got an email from the FAA saying they cancelled the IA renewal seminar due to budget cuts. That sure leaves a lot of our licenses in jeopardy. Renewal dead line is the end of THIS month.

Lord of the Plains, not of the wrench: yup. had a wrench attack me under the truck one day in a moment of thought. lesson learned. I no longer think around wrenches, lol.
Scot PA Neb: thinking hickory with that pic (off the top o' me head).
fruit trees need two each to fertilize. in line with the winds, not next to each other. also good idea to add a bee/butterfly bush to help pollenate.
I have old apple/pear orchard. ol farmers advice really works. expect a year (or two) depending on soil, for fruit to bear. good luck! be safe!
Scottybody: heal, baby, heal!
Tallguy <3 <3 <3 package received!! perfect item at perfect time!!! hug n kiss to Rhonda!
Scottaddict: hope today goes well 4 U! watch the crawly things on the wall. woooooooooooo pyschodelic man!
went to new therapist today- only half hour, no traction stuff. she taught me exercises for specific muscles to stop chronic stuff. she kicked booty!
I have homework. oh well, gonna start swimming too, locally. 6AM ugh back to basic training.....good 4 me.
Traddy: glad you got some face time with Mark. we will have to give him something to do that involves "here, hold my beer..." .
we had photos taken today at Walmart- Willie robertson (Duck Dynasty) now has a sunglass product line... lifesize cutouts. I couldn't help myself.
Denny's lunch for everyone!!

JWBM, glad you like the care package. I was't sure if that was your kind of thing or not. The little sister of a friend of mine custom makes the stuff in Grafton, West Virginia.

I would have called the cops but dont know what their number is.

The 9250 made it home today. They went 30 miles out of their way to get here with it. It's rated the same as the Steiger, but in some ways it's a little better, in others it's a lot cheaper. The 3 point hitch is a lot lighter. The drawbar is different, and not as heavy, and it doesn't have the inching clutch in it.
If I plant with it, the cheap-ace "seats, inc" seat is going to have to come out. One was put in a truck I drove, I almost pulled it out and set it on fire in the lot the first time I got back with it. Puts pressure on my tailbone and I could hardly walk after two hours. Figured out some way to turn and slide out of the seat to avoid tumbling out onto the ground.
Dad's going to have a surprise, too. I said it's a good day up here from Phoenix. He says something to my uncle who says it's only 8 hours. Yeah. According to Yahoo maps, it's 1100+ miles and takes 16 hours of drive time. Only 50 miles shorter than back to Pennsylvania.
They are leaving tomorrow, going to Phoenix, tearing down some horse stalls from a show, hauling 16 to LA, then back to Pheonix to pick up my cousin's stuff outta storage, then coming by here. And have to be back the 15th. I have a feeling they will only be here a day, or will be getting home late.
