Warmed up and its raining on the ice plus the power keeps going out here.
Snow slid off the metal roof. Shook the house and sounded like a bomb. The sound inspired me to dance.
Just when Im going to fire up the gen the power comes back on.
I think one of you guys is messing with me.

Enough of the clandestine marketing analysis cr....er stuff.
It says that's what the server wants. Remember, I'm not talking about this site. I'm talking about a company server in Atlanta. Experience has taught us that if we don't have a meg on the up stream we don't communicate. If we don't communicate we don't get our time logged and we don't get paid on time. We make sure we have that meg!

I got the Amigo home today. Told Huck if he can jump in I'd take him for a ride, he cleared the side of the trailer and landed in the seat, which was about shoulder height. Wouldn't get out til we went for a ride. He seems to like the fact that he has some room in this one.

The Cummins has officially moved from "daily driver" to "project" status.

Is anyone else irritated by the fact that in the Miami Vice movie, they can't even call a cigarette boat a cigarette boat anymore?

Its just about 5 degrees too warm so ice is forming on the power lines.

Glad I have a UPS for the computer or I think it would have gotten toasted.

sitting above/below freezing here, quest is enroute, lance took an early lead, but it will take some time to shake itself out.

Weather this winter has been almost as odd as my number of personalities. But thankfully not quite. Had a bit of a quake in the small hours today, or else I was dreaming about being caught in a hip vibrator... Not sure where it was, not close by, but enough to shake the bed a bit for a few minutes. pretty sad when even the animals don't bother with it.

Next door, the ice roads are open, and the loads are rolling north. Nice, won't have to see some of those guys for a couple months or so. Was a haywire january, getting everything ready to go. Now maybe find some time to get a little bit of my stuff done before spring. ( Not likely, more of a MLK thing. I have a dream....)

Scotty, good luck with the surgery, Gadget arms are great, but not like that. Speedy recovery as well.

Try to have fun out there people.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about, but best of luck to you!

I am teaching at Western Michigan University all this week. You people may call me 'Professor'.

Monday, February 4th.

1783 - Britain declared a formal cessation of hostilities with its former colonies, the United States of America. In other words, they had their butts handed to them!

1789 - Electors unanimously chose George Washington to be the first president of the United States.

1824 - J.W. Goodrich introduced rubber galoshes to the public.

1847 - In Maryland, the first U.S. Telegraph Company was established.

1861 - Delegates from six southern states met in Montgomery, AL, to form the Confederate States of America.

1913 - Louis Perlman received a patent for his demountable tire-carrying rims.

1936 - Radium E. became the first radioactive substance to be produced synthetically.

1941 - The United Service Organizations (USO) was created.

1945 - During World War II, U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Soviet leader Josef Stalin began a conference at Yalta to outline plans for Germany's defeat.

1952 - Jackie Robinson was named Director of Communication for NBC. He was the first black executive of a major radio-TV network.

1957 - Smith-Corona Manufacturing Inc., of New York, began selling portable electric typewriters. The first machine weighed 19 pounds.

1974 - Patricia (Patty) Hearst was kidnapped in Berkeley, CA, by the Symbionese Liberation Army.

1993 - Russian scientists unfurled a giant mirror in orbit and flashed a beam of sunlight across Europe during the night. Observers saw it only as a momentary flash.

1997 - A civil jury in California found O.J. Simpson liable in the death of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Goldman's parents were awarded $8.5 million in compensatory damages.

1999 - Warplanes from Israel attacked south Lebanon just after rockets were fired toward Israel. No casualies were claimed on either side... can you say 'losers'?

1999 - Amadou Diallo, an unarmed West African immigrant, was shot and killed in front of his Bronx home by four plainclothes New York City police officers. The officers had been conducting a nighttime search for a rape suspect.

Think about it:
The only people who find what they are looking for in life are the fault finders.

Time for coffee, tea, ph00... maybe a little espresso. Us professors like espresso!

Ice on the lines makes toast the UPS guy?

Hadn't seen anything about this one yet. Guess it's much smaller than the one last week.
