Howdy dudes. Been a lazy weekend of running around. Watching football all day long, napping on the couch, eating chili, etc. It was tough but someone had to do it.

Yesterday I picked up a new toy that I found a spot for - Delta Homecraft 11" 11-120 drill press. Once I get more time and my garage together I'll do a resto on this. Oh, Redleg, haven't forgot about the sheetmetal brake write up. I'll get that together too

Took me over five minutes to download to the breakroom. Glad everyone seems to be doing OK.
Made it down to CA two weeks ago and had to take my parents out to deer camp. Just got back from the boonies. No cell phone signals, no TV no nothing. After a few days it gets kind of nice just cooking outside and reading by a coleman lantern or candle.
My 80+yo Dad got a deer (probably his last one). Had to take the shot from the truck since it takes him two minutes to get out of it (I will deny it of course).
Currently Im trying to use an old dial up account I got from a neighbor of my parents. It will only connect at 15kbps max so I feel like whispering.
Dug up some old bottles and a 1926 CA license plate. Also got a small (very small) amount of gold.
When I retrieved the truck, it was in pretty good shape this time. No snakes, no dried lizards on the dashboard, no walnuts filling the engine compartment and since I parked it under an almond tree instead of a fruit tree this time there was hardley any multicolored bird poop on it. Also, since I left the windows all the way up this time the only spiders that got in were these little black ones under the dash . They are really shy but have the toughest webs I have ever seen. I felt bad about blasting them with two cans of spray, slamming the door and waiting for an hour.
Thanks to DTR, the truck started up and ran perfectly. Got us up to deer camp in the Sierra's and would run all day on those forestry roads at 8000ft.
I am going into town in a couple of days and will use the library computer to catch up.
Meanwhile, I will try and download a picture of the truck to show you how nice it looked coming out of storage compaired to last time. The download should only take an hour or two. Polaraco's picture only took 5 minutes to download.
Good night and I hope everybody is doing well.

See ya'll in the AM. I'm gonna try to sleep in and relax.

madson, that was one long beer...glad you got some quality life time.
polarco, you reminded me of a scary space movie...

BARK!!! glad you had a good trip, be safe!

Shorts, couch time- good for the soccer gal!

son LOVED the jeep, nice to see that he took wrenches and went right to work, needed dad to torque off the lug nuts on the wheels. new brakes, rotors, oil pan gasket and replace the bolts, hit the back country trail here with dad, then a friend. then rode his bike out to his place and went to work for overtime pay.
nice to see a kid with a work ethic. feeling pretty useless this weekend.
listened to the last two minutes of the BIlls game. they do better when I don't watch....
finishing up cutting logs today.
would rather to take the big boat out and run the motors.....oh well.

JWBM, sounds like a good guy. Our weekends sound similar - lazy

Good morning from sunny (and cold) Colorado! We woke to a nice frost this morning. Crew leader said eat and be ready to head out to the job by 0745. So far, I'm the only one here. Guess I better give the other a call.

Mornin folks.
Made the last payment to the builder last night. The cabin is mine. Now all I have to do is scrape up enough money and/or materials to finish it.

What happening peoples? Back from a 5 day camping trip to Lake George NY. Weather was perfect, the only thing missing was the scooter. Yard and neighbors yard mowed, camper drained and inside cleared out in prep for weatherization. Tore my knee up on sumptin not sure how? So showered up leg up with ice and an icy cold mug of red wine and on my favorite web site. life is good.

Afternoon all. Sad day today - winterized trailers, put away swimming pool, dug last veggies out of garden and drained irirgation systems. The ice from the cover of the pool from this morning still isn't quite melted. There are snow flurries in the forecast for this coming Saturday. Summer and Indian Summer are definitely over in the shadow of the Rockies. I guess the battery blankets will go on the truck next weekend and I will have to check the block-heater and stuff like that before we get a nasty cold spell. Oh yeah - I still need to replace the HAVC blower - it is waiting for me at the dealership but I have been too busy to get there for it. It has been a good Thanksgiving weekend. You have all been really quiet this weekend. Even the abuse of each other hasn't been of the usual caliber...
