^^^yeah, i forget who i am dealing with......and why.

project list should be on a roller....AND:

killer cat has adverse reaction to SOMETHING, vet posed West Nile virus from a mosquito or Lupus. (10 degree wind chill here folks) One ear just nasty raw. more money spent but
worth it watching 5' 9" 140 lb female vet tech get lifted off her feet as she
had kitty contained (cat laying normally, paws secured, then vet tech leaning over cat with her body weight keeping kitty down on the exam table) cat who does not meow; roared as treatment got to that 'special place'in ear. and stood up.
tiny Filipino vet had to coat medicine with lidocaine, and use 10 inch wood applicators. cat weighs 8.5 pounds.
know how professionals look at each other and silently think "wow, that did not go as expected".....
have to go back in four days, I overheard the vet ask for the 'cat clamp'.

I have so much to do, better stop hiding out in here.
boxes sent out syrup lovers. trying to stop Niagara sap flow here today.

Hey all y'all, JWBM I think our cats must be related. Our 7 cats are all barn cats. One adopted us years ago and the others are either wild barn cats we relocated or the offspring of the cats we relocated. They get food, water and a heated barn or garage but they are only one step above feral. Only two of them will let people touch them EVER and even then only reluctantly. The only time they have been touched by humans was when I humanely trapped them to get spayed and neutered. Other than that, they live their own lives. They have ONE job, keep the mice under control and they do that admirably.

Tomorrow is back to work day after a week and a day off. I am not totally excited by the back to work situation but I do need to pay the mortgage so what are you going to do.

Have a good week all y'all, talk to you on Friday afternoon.

Hey you rascal - - good to see your puss around here again - - missed ya. Ha - - no need for a warm up - - got plenty warm just unloading the landscape stones into the patio - - all 6000 pounds of it. The pavers - - nope, I ain'ta getting down there on my knees and laying those suckers. That is for some young squirts. Got some good progress today on the stone work - - kitchen area basics are almost done. Should be done tomorrow and
ready for the counter top. Whew.

Heidi - - you telling me you know about those tendons and joints also? Nasty. That crazee LEGG is not liking all this stuff AT ALL. ......

Heading for the beddy bye - - the bod is tired. Long day tomorrow again. Nitey nite.

Remind me again why I do this everyday?

Tuesday, April 2nd.

1889 - Charles Hall patented aluminum.

1910 - Karl Harris perfected the process for the artificial synthesis of rubber.

1914 - The U.S. Federal Reserve Board announced plans to divide the country into 12 districts.

1917 - U.S. President Woodrow Wilson presented a declaration of war against Germany to the U.S. Congress.

1932 - A $50,000 ransom was paid for the infant son of Charles and Anna Lindbergh. He child was not returned and was found dead the next month.

1935 - Sir Watson-Watt was granted a patent for RADAR.

1951 - U.S. General Dwight Eisenhower assumed command of all allied forces in the Western Mediterranean area and Europe.

1987 - The speed limit on U.S. interstate highways was increased to 65 miles per hour in limited areas.

1996 - Lech Walesa resumed his old job as an electrician at the Gdansk shipyard. He was the former Solidarity union leader who became Poland's first post-war democratic president.

Today's thought:
Over prepare, then go with the flow.

C0ffee & ph00 will be done in a minute. Someone made a mess in here yesterday, let's not do that again!

Fiver, feel for ya! I have property up North, put vertical flat rocks (50-200 pounders) all horizontal. nice area now but sumac grew up in the now hospitable area...hate to use poison so close to the beautiful river. so much rock there, it is a gold star if your home has a lawn.

looked at places with our son, one place had no walls/windows/doors/belly sagged roof/ stripped of nice hardwood floors, trim, ect. down to the hand felled and shaped (bark still on it) support beams on rocks. well and septic hand dug in 1840. audacity to list that as a home at 85,000.
most places he can afford would be substantial work. and that's fine, we do that. what I hate to see is someone else's work COVERING up a wall that needed to be stripped and rebuilt.

(but if I could buy my dozer, I could bulldoze a few places and get them build ready lots! wish wish wish hope wish) ah well.

sent boxes to canada, was asked more questions and had to sign statements. voted at the early absentee vote thingy? no ID or signature or questions for a Presidential election.......sheesh.
making syrup; low last night was 18 degrees (ice gets the sap thicker, easier to boil down to syrup). If it is gonna be cold like Alaska, at least i could stare at the scenery.....

Clouds held out long enough for me to toss some steaks on the BBQ ...sounds like a cow relieving herself on a flat rock now, though. The lawn will appreciate it ...

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the life and death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.

Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully at the age of 93.
The most traumatic part, for his family, was getting him into the coffin.

They put his left leg in ....and that's when the trouble started.
