HERE'S SOME AMMO
Ford posted a 480 million dollar loss for 2005. According to Ford corporate reporting, most of that loss was due to warranty issues with the new 6.0 ltr powerstroke.
now for some personal insight.
I live in Colorado, arguably the harshest environment anyone can run their truck in. I pass new fords broke down by the side of the road on a weekly basis. This may sound like ford bahing but it is the god's honest truth.
My uncle was a diesel mechanic for years. Warned me off the powerstrokes yeasr ago. "you will curse the day you ever bought a powerstroke."
My dad ran a trailer sales company in Arizona for years after he retired fron the ploice force. He ran a ford f350 and a dodge 3500 to deliver trailers all over the US. Mile for mile the ford cost him twice as much to operate as his cummins. It also left him stranded more than once.

Well.... from personal truck ownership.......
I own a 2000 Ford F-250 with a 7.3 it has 200,000 flawless miles.
The truck has been worked hard, I have put all the mods to it and it still starts like the day I bought it......
I have my third child on its way and I was thinking about buying a Ford Excursion..... But with all the 6.0 probs I couldnt bring myself to risk it....
When I saw the MegaCab.... I knew it was the next family ride...!
CTD.... On its way.....
All Truck companys have there probs. its all in how "Your" truck treats you.....!
