Bfg and Goodyear are great because they have the Severe Snow rating on them. This is indicated by the snowflake symbol on the side wall of the tire. I also think that the pro-comps carry this rating.

seems like the nitto's have the snowflake too, I want 315s but then I dont want to lose performance time in 1/4. Will the 315s really make a difference as a oppose to 295s v.s. my stock 265s?? Thats why im leaning towards the 295s, not sure??!?!?!?

I've had a few sets of the Pro-Comps and they are an excellent tire-imo. I ran them in Colorado and the sever weather rating lived up to its name--drove a 2wd f-150 over vail pass in a blizzard. No chains. Manual tranny and a 4speed. Just cruised it on out in 3rd. For the $$, a great investment. Never had them in a load range E, however. I will be trying them on my ram when this set of cheapos wears out.
