Junior must be frazzled over there, or the can't post within 60 seconds of your other post has malfunctioned for him. I go for basic 911 dispatcher training next week for a possible part time position in '09. Hopefully this will lead into something full time for me. Enjoy your weekend guys.

First day of dispatcher training today and although the material is dry the class is fun. Sergeant stops every once in awhile to give some real life examples about stuff in the book. Some of them are hilarious. Sounds like this may turn into a part time gig for me next year and than hopefully a full time gig as a cop, but we shall see.

Hope all of you outside workers bundled up today. I know the truck didn't like that it was 13 or so out there today. Sucks getting no heat until 10 minutes after I start the truck, but oh well. Heatwave tomorrow boys...high of 47!!

 

hey we nail down this holiday get together? though I read it ws this friday night coming up ????????? the 12th. who is gonna make it, I know I could use some wings. I forget what I was doin on that brain numbing cold day, where'd ya see me ?

must have been sunday Night then, was droppin off the rc truck I got fixed for my nephew..... they were at the park for the town tree lighting festivities...... end of a long family day, relatives up from NC and then fixin that truck, I was ready for a cold one after all that I tell ya.

You got that right Phil, that is why I like our Christmas party so much. I don't care for seeing my coworkers/bosses/vendors for a dinner party... I just dig the free prime rib and all you can drink

dang, we got some rain the last couple days... found a nice little treat last night when I went in the basement for a screwdriver: a large puddle where my concrete floor usually sits
wasn't real bad, just stole some time from me

 

o that sux Pat, ya got a sump pump and pit down there or no ? not too hard to put in a french drain and sump pit if you don't, a demo saw, sledge hammer and a bit of work, but can be done on a weekend.

 

nahh, my yard just needs work, we have got some serious drainage problems... If we get a good rain, it is days before the yard is actually dry again. The entire property is sloped, but the water just sits and makes it a spongy mess
