Awfully quiet around here!

Well, after having Kieth over the house this weekend and taking a spin in his truck I ordered heat blankets for both turbos and the manifold. I hope it works as well for me as it does for him. His 64 wheel spools like my 62. Maybe my 62 will spool like stock? Time will tell.
Also finally got off my butt and ordered the driveshaft loops for front/rear! Fronts should be here in a week. Rears won't be finished for a week or two by the time there back from powder coat.
Lastly, if all goes well I'll be tearing the turbos off and sending the primary out for a little extra attention. Still waiting for a call back. Might not make it down to Englishtown for the Nationals, but should be done in time for the Street Diesel Performance Show & Go on 10/10.
I know my boys want to go to the Nationals, so we might cruise down in mama's rig.

kinda quiet? funny you say that, lean your head out the window & see if ya can hear my truck......... finally figured out how to get that" truck on a dyno flex pipe sound" all ya need is a 5 inch straight pipe exhaust............ phew that thing lets it breath, tad better spool off the bottom and then off like a missle.. TNT R sw3, and quad box on 60 feels pretty dang good.

It's not higher numbers I'm after anymore. It's cooler EGT's. I'm sorry to say it looks like the turbos are staying like they are. It's going to cost to much to have them do what I want. For an extra couple of bucks I could just upgrade to an S480........hmmm.......

Problem is I still need to be able to tow and I wouldn't want anything that spools any slower than what I have now with these big injectors. I've got to watch the pyro as it is now.

Also on Comp D, another member sent rods out the side of the block. Mods are similar to mine. Makes me nervous. Not looking for any more power at this point. This is where things really start to cost money. Rods, head work, coated pistons or aftermarket pistons, O-rings, girdle, and whatever else I'm forgetting.

You should look at getting a blanket for your exhaust housing. I think it might help you to keep the smoke levels down. There's a deal going on right now for turbo/manifold blankets. Real cheap. Call me if interested. They're not a site vendor or I would post info.

I posted on another forum and I figured I would also post here. On Friday night Oct. 2 I'm going to be running out to Island Dragway to do a little test-n-tune work on the truck before the Englishtown event on the 10th.
Don't know if anyone else is interested. Always a good time when a bunch of us get together. I know Mike as already expressed interest in going. Anyone else?
