Speak up about the 12 index race.

In the interest of fairness. How many people think the 12.0 class should be raised?

Keep in mind, we only have time to run the classes on the schedule. No additional classes will be added because of time constraints.

From what I can tell, the main grind with the classes is that the 13 second and up trucks are being left out.

What say you NC18!?! Help me out.

I think you need to include everyone some how, or you risk alienating a portion of your members and guests.

My best to date is 13.95 in the quarter. With my adding twins, I don't know where I'm at. I seriously doubt 12.xx. Dunno.

I confess I am ignorant of the "Index" thing though.

Ok {flame suit on} explain the 12 second index thing to me...I know when I run E.T. you put your index..(for me it's 13.03) up and thats what you run. For this, does it work out that eeveryone runs an index of 12 and you just run...If so I think I see where the issues lie. You will have a 340HP truck trying to run the same times as a 600HP truck. Does not seem quite fair, as far as fair goes in this sport. I fully support and look forward to these events, and being in the lower H.P. bracket of trucks I can see why people are getting upset. But lets make the very best of this one, and shoot for a HUGE Spring rally!!!

LOL! I thought it was the other way around. Minimum of 12 to compete.

12.0 index means you try to run an ET as close to 12.0 without going over while having the best reaction time without red lighting. As for 12.0 or 12.5, I'd say go with whatever gives you the most trucks within reach of the index. With a 12.0 I can only think of 3 or 4 trucks, but a 12.5 index could grow the class to 6 or 8.
