Pop off the e-clip, turn the rod in a couple turns (might have to loosen the jam nut), and put the eyelet back on the stud. You'll be pulling against the spring in the canister, so it'll be hard to pull it back onto the little stud. If you apply air pressure to the hose the runs from the compressor housing it'll pop the rod open for you so you can get it hooked back up. If you have a regulator on an air compressor you can set it in one shot, but if not it may take a couple rounds of adjusting and road testing.

Sounds like a battle to tackle while phil is wrenching on my tranny tomorrow. Thanks foor the info!

John, No worries, I was rolling in to town from Fayetteville and thought I would stop in for a few. I wanted to get some readings so I could accurately troubleshoot the issue.

Cris...THANKS Buddy!!! This thing is great, I just need to dial it in!

Nate,
Did you get the waste gate adjusted properly? The trick to getting the arm on/off of the lever is to use the air compresor. I know Cris had an adjustable regulator on that turbo before to adjust the boost.

Nope,

Spent the night with Phil changing out the VB that Dave sent me. It made this truck so much more streetable. I need to see what the strip manners are going to be like. But I am going to try a different smarty program, Brandon at HTT said I am not offering enough fuel to spool this thing. So I am going to try the TNT and add some pressure to it.

If that doesnt help at all, I will adjust the arm....

Banshee,

Thanks so much for all the info. After 11 turns on the actuator this thing is turning a cool 40 LBS max boost. Although the picture you show is a very favorable position for that one...mine was not so easy.....lost the dang clip.

John,

You proved to me that any truck you drive is scary and should not be messed with. That 1/4 mile of rubber was awesome! And I think we got that tuning down for sure....minus the clip it went very well.

Phil,

The trans is a beast!!!! Thanks and I will make sure you get that "fluid" soon!!!

Cris,

I cannot thank you enough and I will be up to see you as soon as I get the travel $$ from Uncle Sammy..

Nate:

Enjoyed helping you adjust the turbo today! Even though we dropped and lost the clip to the actuator. If your truck hasn't gained at least a tenth in the 1/4 mile I will be surprised! Glad you enjoyed the "ride and drive" of my 2006. Not bad for a truck that still has STOCK injectors and a STOCK fuel system. We will try to "line them up" at CPD next Friday! IMHO,.....it ought to be a darn close race!

Thanks Nate.
