Installed my new-to-me turbo today
THanks to Cris and Daniel for the guidance I installed my NTM HTT-64/12 turbo. It was a bit difficult, but I did 90% of the wrenching. The toughest part was the oil return. I am happy with this turbo, but it is hard to lite up. So in a few months I guess I will be adding injectors. Making the run to Fayetteville tonight so we'll see how she does!

Man, I just got done installing mine... it was a pain, but worth it.
Yeah, real hard to lite. Hope that the sticks are not hard to take out/install in my sig...
CONGRATS!!! It's something else, huh?

The charger Nate put on was a used charger off of Cris's truck so it is already broken in.
Nate you should be happy with it after you run it at the dragstrip and your EGT's aren't through the roof.

Nate by those numbers it looks like your running out of fuel on the higher levels of the smarty. Remember the Beta and TNT programs add about 100 hp on power level one and around 200-230 on level 9, thats if you can support the fueling demand.

I forgot to mention I cannot get more than 32# of boost...So I believe dan is right, I need more fuel. Or maybe since Cris was running so much more than I am, maybe the wastegate needs a little adjustment?? I dont know...but that is some consistant times.

Yep.
Seems like I am not boosting like I should. The HIGHEST I can hit is 32#. On the stocker I would see 38-42 all day long going through the 1/4. It is still fast, I just am at a loss as to why I lost speed. Need to try a more aggressive fueling tune and see where it goes from there. I also need to get a RPG installed so we can "tune" the rail.
All in all I am happy with this, but like everything else it will take some wiggling to get it right.

That 64 should be turning 42-45psi. You can adjust the wastegate to open at a higher pressure by shortening the arm up:
Pop off the e-clip, turn the rod in a couple turns (might have to loosen the jam nut), and put the eyelet back on the stud. You'll be pulling against the spring in the canister, so it'll be hard to pull it back onto the little stud. If you apply air pressure to the hose the runs from the compressor housing it'll pop the rod open for you so you can get it hooked back up. If you have a regulator on an air compressor you can set it in one shot, but if not it may take a couple rounds of adjusting and road testing.

Great picture and explanation Johnner!
Nate, FWIW, my 62/12 sees about 40lbs of boost while drag racing. Sorry we missed you at the drag strip.
