John, I had to race you since I asked you to come out. Getting beat was just something I knew came in the package LOL.

No problem there Pete,....I just don't want people to get the wrong idea that ANYONE "let me win" because you and I KNOW that's not true! You were going just as hard as I was and it was a darn good race!

whiskeyVI you have a PM.
John, I decided to just go ahead and get the smarty now. If you get a chance I would like to get the beta program you had. If not Tim said he would hook me up with one.
Let me know when we are going to do another event and I'll try to be there. I think we need to set up a dyno day here soon.

Yeah, I knew that Dennis, but thanks for noticing! As I said above, I just don't want any of the Members here to think ANYONE EVER "let me win"
anything including Pete Slayden! The video should prove that to anyone looking at it and if not,......like I said,......I am up for a rematch ANYTIME or ANYPLACE with Pete! As I also said, if he gets his twins and bigger injectors in his 2002, I can always bring out my 96' so we are comparing "apples-to-apples!" With his twins and bigger injectors I am fully aware that he can beat my 2006 but I will say this; "I'll bet I can beat him off the lights!" In any case, I am ready whenever Pete is.

LOL john beat me but he red lighted. I knew he was gonna beat me there was no question his "slow truck" is well over 500HP and has ran high 12's if I remember right. I say I had to let you beat me because I asked you to come race me knowing I would lose and didnt wanna let you down lol. John's 06 is Fast but his 96 is a little out of my league. Maybe if I get some sticks and some nos but then I will just still be close buddy. I wasnt saying I let you beat me as in you couldnt keep up just that I felt obligated since I have been asking for a few weeks knowing I would lose.

It still blows my mind that I ONLY run 105mph when I ran the 12.73 and you run 105mph at a 13.20.
Those freakn Dodges can lay the mph DOWN...or either my truck is SLOW

David:

Your truck IS NOT SLOW Buddy!! In fact, it is one of, if not THE fastest 2003Ford PSD 6.0's that I have seen and I have seen alot of them run. I only wish you could have made it out last Sunday and run 2141pete with that truck of yours. He really would have been whining then! Heck David, you and I were as close as Pete and I were at the end of the 1/4 mile that night we raced!

I would like to clear things up and Make a formal apology to John porterfield. I didnt let John win nor would he have let me win. As you can see in the video we were both full out down the track. Reading back over what I said I can see how it sounded a little diferent in my head. I have ALOT of respect for John. He has ben one of the biggest influences on how my truck runs like it does. He is a great guy to know and willing to help anyone who will have it. Hopefuly not to many people took what I said the wrong way, I just wanted to clear this up b/c in know way could I let John win I would have loved to beat him to the 1/4 mile mark. I do hope to see him again And I can garauntee we'll both bring evrything we have again. Thanks for coming out to everyone it was a great time.

Pete

Congratulations buddy, I am happy you finally got them! Like I told you at the track last Sunday, call me if you need a hand putting them on. With twins, the more help you have, the better off you are!! I have to teach on Saturday morning at the college, but other than that I am free, so let me know.
