Is anyone welcome to this gathering? I am still hoping to make it to my first event that weekend and put the truck on the dyno and the track if there is still room.

ABSOLUTELY Sir!!

Come to all the planned events if you want to! "Hooters"
is located at 463 Western Blvd. in Jacksonville, N.C. and I will be there at about 4:30 P.M. to get us a large table. As I said previously, we will head out to the drag strip after dinner and then on Saturday morning (October 11th)
we will all meet at "Waynes Dyno and Performance" for the Dyno Event from 9:00 A.M. to ???.

Well everybody, October 10th has arrived!! As posted here, I will be at "Hooters" at around 4:00-4:30 P.M. tonight to get us a big table. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. So far, the weather looks like we may be alright for tonight's drag race event. Regardless of whether it is raining or not, I will be at "Hooters" and if by some chance it does rain, we will go to our "back-up" date of Saturday October 11th, 2008, at 5:00 P.M. AFTER our dyno day at Waynes.

"But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!"

I can also say that their parking spots appear to be for subcompacts.

WOW, this event is growing!!!

The pre-race get together was a blast. By my count there were more than 40 folks there. We even had a member and his family all the way from Alaska.

The grub was good, the view was better. (Except Mark's waitress.....er waiter.) Unfortunately, the rain had other plans so tomorrow's another day and well try again. Looking forward to the dyno in the morning, see you there.
