Ok guys i have been on the website for a couple months and i really want to join a locall chapter but Dallas is just to far for me to drive. I want to get a count of all the serious people who want to start up a south/central texas chapter. I am only 20 and my schedule is pretty busy but i make time so i wouldent want to be president but if someone is willing to be i will be right there with them to help get things started

Look at ctdctd.com. This is the central texas diesel website. It is a good organization that is just getting going. We need to get some more activity on the forums over there. Good luck.

 

Is it just me or is it just quiet in here i have heard people proposing this before. All we need is just a few guys in the austin/san antonio area to start it up.

 

id be in for that. i considered goin to the waco meets but its just too far to drive for a lunch. keep me posted

I hope you guys get this going. Houston could do one too. Then we could all meet periodically for a big get together once or twice a year. Just a thought. Good luck getting a S. Texas/San Antonio chapter started!

I know it is a long drive to come to the North Texas events for you guys. But, you are always welcome if you ever wanna come on up.

i'm game to doing something. i've got a couple of friends to that would help to get things going. i'm located outside of corpus christi, so i'm not to far away from u guys.

there is a pull in De Leon Aug 11 and 12, which is not too far from San Antone if anyone is interested.

i would say i would like to help out alot, but, with me working ALL the time, i don't know.
where is deleon at? i might be heading to edinburg this weekend to the 1/4 mile track. not for sure yet.
but i'm ready to go sa raceway too.
We all need to get together and figure this out better.

 

Guys, Texas is plenty big enough to have mulitple Local Chapters.
I know there has to be enough folks around here to get a Local Chapter going in several Texas locations.

Local Chapters are an extension of DTR. Groups from all over get together to share like interests and have a good time.
Now's your chance to step up and become a part of DTR.

C'mon you guys. Get it started. There is really not that much to it. Just start meeting up with each other.

Then we can meet our Chapters together once or twice a year or more around some event. Like I think there is going to be a big DHRA event in Houston in a few months. We could all meet up together for that.
