That was by far the best meet I've been to despite my less than stellar numbers. I'm gonna try and hook Hunter's comp up on mine and see if mine's bad cause his is obviously working. It was great to meet everyone and see some of the power that was put down. Unfortunately, the Dmax's won with 730hp/1200+tq. Jim Fulmer came in a close second with 714hp and unknown torque (although I'm sure it was over 1200) with a brand new engine.

Good get together. I thought for sure that I wore a white shirt to the meet. It definately wasn't when I got home. Charlie, Bryan, Tyler ,and Hunter thanks for the tacos and cold ones! Can't wait to do it again.

Funny you should ask....
I dont have the slightest idea what the hell is wrong with the truck. Transmission wont go into any gear and smoke was coming out of the bellhousing on the side of the road. Luckily Bryan was 20 miles behind me and we were only 4 miles from his house so it's sitting in his shop right now.

I hope it's just the tranny or clutch....hate to pull the engine. On the other hand...it sure would be nice to build one mean motor.

Ouch. That can't be good. I just took a ride in my truck with Hunter's comp and while there was more smoke, I can't tell if there was any more power. Looks like I'm gonna have to wait until october to see if my comp is bad or not.

Great! Thanks Justin, that saved me from a lot two fingered typing!

What a good time. You're all a bunch of great guys, and I consider myself lucky to get to hang with you from time to time.

Yeah, My reply from yesterday is missing too. Had a great time!! It was really nice to see all the smoke, smell all the fumes, listen to the excitement, and hang around an all around great group of diesel lovers.

Justin, good to meet you and thanks for posting the results.

I can't believe Tyler up and left after he talked me into getting a dyno ticket...LOL..........but at least I won the stock class for what it was worth. Don't think Jim Jones has anything to worry about from me for a little while..LOL.

Robert, I know. I wanted to watch you dyno but my stomach got the best of me. Glad to see you took the stock class trophy.

Aaron, we'll see. I might have a little something up my sleeve for next time.

Great Day!
Best turnout I've seen in a long time. Great Group of people!
Well organized - Thanks Micah!
Sorry I had to leave early...had to meet a customer passing through Dallas.

Definately harder to make good numbers when you could fry an egg on the hood of any one of our trucks. Wonder what the correction factor is for a 100* day??

Cody...sorry you had troubles, but, the good news is the twins may be working fine.

Robert - Those are the best #'s I've seen for a stock truck. Nice!

Looking at the results, I am once again mystified by the big differences in torque readings for similar HP's. Have never understood this with basically identical core motors. Anyone have a simply explanation??

Also...looking at my dyno sheet...peak torque was at 2300 rpm. In the past, it has always been around 2500 rpm +/- (on this same dyno). Anyone else see their torque coming in earlier? I don't dislike it...just don't understand it. Anyone??

RJ
