Waco Farewell Meet Sunday the 23rd July

It sounds like ya'all had a great time at Charlies, sorry I couldnt make.

I would like to have a meet here in Waco on Sunday the 23rd. I know you guys might have trouble looking at a bunch of trucks again so soon but it will be my last chance to do this before leaving Waco for good. We can meet a Hooters or Rudys or wherever works for you guys.
For those who may not know, my wife is retiring at the end of july and we have sold the house and will be fulltime RVers traveling to a lot of great places.

John,

I won't be able to make it down to Waco this weekend. Sorry you couldn't make it up to Charlie's place last weekend.

Congratulations on getting to go live your dream!!!! I want to do the same thing someday. If I could leave today.......I'd be out of here. I'd probably be in Alaska right now enjoying the scenary and getting the hell out of this heat!!

Sounds like you have things under control. Hope we still get to hear from you from time to time. And, you will have to come back down sometime and tell us about your travels Good luck and have fun!! Life is WAY to short!

Robert

John,
I can't make it down on the 23rd (previous commits), but I may be coming thru Waco sometime next week. If I do, I'll let you know and meet up with you somewhere.

Leaving old friends IS hard but, full time RV'ing will give you the opportunity to meet allot of the rest of us NEW friends in other chapters across the greatest country in the world. Stay tuned to DTR and just show up. I'm sure you would ALWAYS be welcome. Rick

Thanks for the great idea, I hadnt thought of looking up other groups while traveling but will keep my eye out for them. It will be nice to not have to give up the enjoyment of meeting fellow Diesel heads.

I didn't get to see John before he left, but I did talk to him today. They were leaving New Mexico and heading for South Fork, Colorado. He said it was tough getting used to the 60* weather.

You have no idea how JEALOUS I am!! What I wouldn't give to be taking off on a forever trip like that and get out of this 100+ degree hell we call North Texas.

I couldn't believe it today...........I was in Downtown Dallas and I saw rain. For the first time in what........2 1/2 months or so? I had forgot what it looked like. Course......my place still didn't see a drop. McKinney is 32'' down on rainfall over the past year and a half. No wonder Lake Lavon is about gone!
