On Sept 13th at the Edge in Ogden will be the third annual Utah Dyno Day followed the next day my Utah's First Diesel Drag Race at Rocky Mountain race track in Salt Lake City. More info to follow...

 

If you get any more details, definately post them, that is one event that I want to be at.

 

As it grows closer, we'll have all kinds of info, hopefully.

I'll definately be there.

I really want to run my truck down the track a couple times,
my work schedule doesn't allow me to get over there on any other test-and-tune days.

I went to the Dyno Day last year, truck was very new still and I didn't know anyone, so I didn't dyno,
but I want to this year.

Utah Diesel Dyno and Drag Race
Sept 13th and 14th,2003

Announcing Utah’s 3rd Annual Diesel Dyno days along with an all Diesel Drag Race the next day at Rocky Mountain Raceways.

The Dyno will be held at the Edges Dyno in Ogden, Utah on Saturday Sept. 13th and the Drag Race at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City, Utah on Sunday Sept. 14th.

At the Edge Saturday Sept 13th we will dyno and have a show and shine contest. Two Dyno runs for $40.00 with a limit of 50 trucks total(they did 42 last year). Dyno will start at 10:00am and be over at 4:00pm.

Sunday Sept. 14th. Gates open at 10:00am Time Trials from 11:00am-1:00pm followed by a Driver's Meeting and eliminations at 1:30pm with Quick 8 to follow and then a burn out contest. Prices are as follows $20 ET Brackets, $30 Quick 8 Heads up, (contingent on number of entries) & $10 spectators.

Finally some concrete info.

They'll probably want truck year for the dyno registration as well.

For us drag race dummies, whats the "ET Bracket "and the "Quick 8 Heads Up"?

Phox,

Bracket racing is when you put a dial-in time in and try to run closer to that time than your opponent without breaking out (going faster). The quick 8 means a heads up race with the 8 fastest trucks, no dialing just going as fast as you can to try and beat your opponent.

ET = The first part you try and find out where your truck is going to run time wise and make it as constitant as possible. Then you put this number on your window, you then can line up against anyone and they program the timer so that the slowest truck will leave first and then the faster one. If both truck run right on there numbers they should be crossing the finish line at the same time. 8)

Quick 8 will be the fastest 8 truck with a heads up racing, both truck will leave at the same time and the one crossing the finish line first is the winner. ;D

Count on Sister Abdula X, Jasmine, Liza, Jeffy Jefferson and myself making the trek in the big black monster. I'll be looking forward to attending another dyno event at Edge Products. I wouldnt miss it for nothing. ;D
