Sept. 8 The Final Buck Event! MD #33 and PA guys!
Both will be there, I'm going to trailer the 93 out, just can't take the chance of breaking something 2.5 hours from home and have to come back to pick it up. Going to pull with the 93. Been to 3 pulls so far and its been 7th, 5th and 4th. Just got in from putting a new u-joint on the front drivers side, no needles in the old one.
Mike.. GetBlown5.9 can likely verify this.. but for the street class, your charger has to say "Holset" on it, ..as it appears from the factory. I'd really hate to see you make the trip and be hassled about it, ..believe me.. They will!
I like the place and rarely miss events like this, but i know a lot of fine folks that boycott the Buck because of their rules. They're in constant state of needing restructuring. Running a single aftermarket charger (2.8 inlet) allows you to run in their modified class. But.. That class requires some safety equipment; shaft loop, u-joint shields and cross-bolted "X" in your exhaust.
Sorry to be the barer of bad tidings, but good luck.. Check their website for a copy of the rules, or perhaps even give them a call.. Maybe the normal tech. guy that hassles everyone will be sick...

Not true brother! Their rules for street are 2.5" single turbo...so his 62mm will work fine. The first time out they even had plugs to use for checking the turbo inlet size. You are correct on the 2.8 tho for the modified class.
The only way you need to have the STOCK turbo or one that says holset and looks VERY stock is for drag racing.
ok well my truck aint going to be going to the buck. Theres a bad noise coming from the front of my truck so unless keene dodge can get it fixed by sat loaner hear i come.. oh alson i was talking to one of the ppl that work at royal farms said that they want to take some pixs of the truck for a calander that he might be starting. so

Right from their stock class rules.
Turbocharger must be in original location and must be O.E.M. turbo for the engine/truck as intended by
the manufacturer. No aftermarket turbo's, no ball bearing turbo's, no mounting plate adapters or plumbing changes for high output turbo's will be allowed in this class. Turbocharger inlet size will be checked at the tech official’s discretion. Inlet opening may not be larger than 2.50". Turbocharger inlet hose must be removed for measuring by tech official at any time requested or vehicle will be disqualified.

No problem, looking forward to seeing a bunch of you guys/gals out there. I have to put mine back together tonight too, thought it would be a good idea to change the bad front u-joint before it wipes out a yoke or something like that.
