Hello again

I think I read that the gates open at 09ish what time do they start running down the track for test and tune for the race??

Here is my mind set. Please bear with me
I hit the road @0600 to get to the track by 0900 and then I wait around till when ever for them to start running trucks down the track. That equals a unhappy wife that I have to deal with.

What time do you recommend to get to the track?

As it looks right now, Leigh Ann plans on running the dually and Geoffrey will be running in the bracket races. My old truck will be sitting in the back with the goose neck hooked to it in case something goes wrong.

Looking forward to attending this great event.

See Ya
Chris

Thankfully, Mike D will be watching the '96 do what it does best while sipping on a barley pop.

mike that is a good question that i cant answer, mass diesel will not get there truck togethe in time,ts perfomance is working onthe truck but at last check it is going to be close,dj lost the turbo in his 6.9 psd and is trying to get it back going...its hardd to say but i still think there wil be a full 8 truck field will 7.8 sec 8th mile or better ttrucks, not as good as 8 sub 7.3 sec trucks but it makes every body have to run to win.

Me and Matt (Tiger Rag) are heading out on Friday to stay at his hunt club so we won't have such a long drive on Sat. morning. Looking forward to a good day at the track, see ya'll there.

Does anyone have any hotel recommendations for that area? Is it best to stay somewhere like Nag's Head for the weekend? I didn't think we were going to make it so I didn't bother looking for this until now!

Edit: Nevermind!

Thanks .. we are coming from the DC area and we decided to stay in Outer Banks since we've never been. It looks to be a little more than an hour from the track but we are coming down early tomorrow so it should be a good weekend!

well if ur set on going to the beach youll be passing right by my house. You could stay at the new Hilton Inn right as you get on the beach or you could go to the ramada half way down the beach on the water. Theres plenty of places holiday inn also. The further you go the less hotels there are.

Well, that was a good deal of fun! I feel like a moron .. I get back this evening after watching the races and then decide to look at everyone's trucks in their gallery on here. I sat there all day thinking "I wonder if that's them?" .. and sure enough it was! I would have liked to have met you guys today but I just wasn't sure the trucks I saw were any of you. We need DTR hats or something!

Anyway, thanks to everyone who brought their trucks out to entertain us today!
