Greetings fellow North Carolina Dieselers,
I'm in the process of starting a NC chapter. I'm looking for others who share the same passion for loud, smokey, and obnoxious rigs. I'm located in the Fayetteville, NC area (yes I'm military, how'd you guess ). I saw there was no nationally recognized chapter and thought it would be fun to organize one. I'm tired of seeing all you fellow Rammers on I95, trying to wave you down to see what you got under the hood. Lets organize something where I don't become a roadside hazard on 95. I got a few guys here at Bragg interested. Any other takers please shoot me an e-mail. I'll respond ASAP. Thanks.

Original Junior, Jack, Top:
Yes my son and I would like very much like to be a part
of starting a N.C. Chapter!! As "Top" pointed out
my son (banshee) and I have been active with the Va.
Chapter and have enjoyed it very much! I would like
to see "PapaSmurf (Crud)" and his wife Leigh become
involved too! Together, we were able to put on the
recent "N.C. Dyno Day and Drag Race" back on 12-13-03
with the help of Joel (Dieseldude 4X4) & his son, Jess
(king d), Tom (goody's 1-ton). So,....I know we would
have interest here in N.C.

Welcome NC DTR,,,,,,,,,
It's about time someone took charge of them NC Dieselheads and I believe a Military man is just the ticket to get the job done!
John P., Johnner, the Smurfs, Jess, Tom and even Jack ,,,,,, are a great bunch of folks. You may have to send the MP's after Jack though,,, as he tends to be AWOL quite a bit!
We look forward to many get-togethers with Y'all in the future since the VADTR is right next door.

Thank you Gents
Gentlemen, thanks for the interest. I'm mailing the paperwork out to national today or tomorrow. If you can fill out a member form and e-mail it to me at
terrence.eckert@us.army.mil
it would be greatly appreciated. The form is located in the Chapter forums here. If you need me to send you a copy on digits, let me know. Right now I don't have interent access at home...I'm wasting your tax doallars playing with the computer at work . I'll be hooked up at home in a week so it should be easier to stay in touch. Please keep in touch with me through my e-mail because I'm currently building a data base. I'll keep you all informed via e-mail on the progress. I'm glad to see all the support. I didn't expect to see this much this soon . As soon as I get the charter back from National, we'll be able to organize our first meeting and hold elections. Remeber, we need some good guys to step up to the plate to fill all the positions. I'm more than willing to be the chapter President, that is, until you all decide I suck or one of you can't live without being "The Man". I'll work tis and keep you posted here and personnally if you e-mail me your contact infor. Thanks. Terry

I would be interested in joining, I am pretty busy for the next few months, I am trying to complete three more classes so I can graduate in May. But I should have time to hang out on some of the weekends.

I don't know if we ever got reconized for that or not. After Wes left, it just kinda shifted over to a combined VA & NC bunch of folks getting together until we formed the VADTR chapter #7 which has a bunch of the folks who used to make up the Mid Atlantic TDR. I never did see it mentioned in the magazine as being reconized though.

SCENE II. Capulet's orchard.
JULIET
O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name;
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I'll no longer be a Capulet.
ROMEO
[Aside] Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this?
JULIET
'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for that name which is no part of thee
Take all myself.
