Pretty simple, given nice weather. Thursdays are bike nights, they should be getting into full swing sometime soon. Friday nights and usually Saturdays as well are car shows. This is all @ The Chatterbox, it is a old style drive in restaurant, they used to do the rollerskating waitressess, but due to incompetence had to quit. Easy enough to get to/find. At the intersection of routes 15/565/206.

I will look into the Riverdale idea

I might try to make that one @ riverdale.

Truck is currently @ the stealers, see how they make out with it, hopefully get the white smoke straightened out, maybe the DW too, that'd be fancy...

g/f will be down this weekend, pretty sure I am going to hit the car show Saturday early evening(likely sometime between 5-7) up here, see what kind of activity they have.

Most hardware store have 1/8" compression fitting unions just in case you end up needing it. If you're still in a bind and want to take a ride over here I can give you the 6 foot piece I have in the shed. If you need a longer piece you can run over to BEHRENT'S in Florida, NY and you could certainly get what you need over there. I would have been in for it this week but I'm waiting on the new intercooler to arrive. The old one has corroded clean through in a few spots and there are several leaks from where the core is welded to the end tanks. Hopefully next week I can get it together or maybe Saturday if you guys get together somewhere then.

Can anyone recommend a good dealership in North Jersey. I need the oil pan gasket and front crank seal replaced (under warranty) and I don't want to take it to some place that sees three trucks a year.

Anyone due for Inspection?

Don’t know how the rest of the state is, but I took my truck thru inspection in Newton. Sort of a waste of my time, could have done the whole thing in the parking lot. All they really checked is the lights. Took a quick peek underneath with the mirror, don’t know how they missed it but my tail pipe has lots of holes in it. Didn’t even blow the horn, I guess they know their weak. Never plugged in to the data port to check for codes. I could see all the computer screens they use, so I really watched. Going to the brake check, the screen flashed “FAILED” insufficient brakes for vehicle weight. They didn’t even stop on the brake check pads. The inspector cleared the screen and out I went. Good for two more years. Now all I really have to do is replace the entire exhaust system.

I've heard that the diesel guy over at Bergen County Dodge on Rt. 17 South in Ramsey knows his stuff. I think his name is Roger and I'm pretty sure he still works there. Unfortunately I don't have any first hand dealings with anyone there but the parts department.

Hey you, in the gray Dodge, STOP BLOWING THE HORN- YOU MAY GET US KICKED OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats right folks, the conductor was shot down as he made his grande entrance into the car show this evening. Wasn't there personally to witness it, but, judging from the TDR guy's laughter in telling the story, it was pretty funny. Apparently, Mike made too much noise (which I can't understand because you can barely hear the horn) with his horn and the car club guys are afraid they will not be able to hold their show there anymore. If they are worried about that, they should yell at all the guys doing burnouts as they leave. Should be interesting next week if Mike gets yelled at again.

Cheers

hmmmm what fun, staying in order with how things have been going for me lately...

got truck back from dealer (ECM reflash to rid me of white smoke on startup), apparently the "tech" felt it necessary to move my seat, mirror and steering wheel, as well as change the display on my radio, and somehow loosened my gauge pod, AND to top it all off: started the truck this morning, white smoke

even better, go to reload Predator, get "your vehicle is not in our database, please contact us...." some more.

but, on an upside, I did get my brothers truck "passed" for inspection this morning, good to go for 2 more years, then it is 10k time

anyway, I will likely be at the carshow Saturday around 5 or so, like I said, then afterwards relaxing with some cold ones, maybe do some tinkering or install some lights. any other takers?

Thanks. I found out the previous owner took it there (never had any Cummins work done though). I'll give em' a shot.
