Ah yes, but good, very good for building horsepower! I guess that makes for a bad cocktail though.

Hello again
Here is the phone number if anyone wants to call and set this up with the race track.
Office phone # (910) 455 3555
Track phone # (910) 347 2200

I don't know where I will be or what I am doing yet that weekend, I hope I am at home.
I have yet to see a dodge truck pull a "greasy string out of a cats butt". So I guess I won't miss anything. Let me know when you have something to run against my light weight race truck.

See Ya
Chris

Thanks for the numbers Chris, sorry you can't make this one. Hope everything goes well for you.

Matt, I'm sure they considered the hunters for moving the test tune to Sunday as well. Hopefully you'll bag a nice buck before the event and you can come out and run your six speed.

I'll call the track tomorrow to see what information I can find out about the track rental fees.

This has the makings of being a really good event for all.

Keegan, If you don't mind, post this event on DTW.

Wonder what would happen if ya took some PVC pipe,,,,, a few PVC elbows,,,,, a little duct tape,,,,, and covered it all with roll-bar padding,,,,,,, we could probably make it look real authentic,,,,, Just DON'T let em touch it!

Yeah,,,,,,, that would work!

It's like back in the old Nascar days when a racer used a piece of black electricial tape to simulate a windshield support.

Count my neighbor and I in... Can't wait and I won't feel like I'm lost like I did when I was up at truck nationals without my rig...

(LOL) about the perks and beer. Anytime you have a lot to move "heavy stuff or what ever" give me a call, or call Cris if you can't get a hold of me on here and I'm probably with him... No since on hurting a bad back anymore.

Here's the deal so far with regards to the track rental. I spoke with Ronnie from Coastal Plains, his rough est. was around $1000. $500 for the track rental and $500 for insurance. He said if we didn't want to run side by side competition, just run one truck at a time he would charge $500. He is going to call me back tomorrow to give me more details.

He said if we wanted to come Sunday for T/T he could provide us with a lane and just charge $10 to race, 20 or more trucks.

Let me know your thought guys.

Whoa, that's pricey!

Can't remember how we got out of the insurance thing last time. I also know we got a very rare deal on our part as well.

Keegan, You got it, a staging lane for the DTR members. Who set up the DTW event. Can you find out some more details as to how ya'll avoided insurance cost...

Like I said, this was just a rough est. so maybe tomorrow will bring better prices...

FYI, Ronnie Humphrey is the track owner, so that quote is going to be hard to get around. The Sundays last year generally weren't too packed, and with the group deal we can ensure that we run together. Plus, I can run Matt again....
