The two I beat last yr. at Ardmore Track had Hemi's...I think!
I'm sure I would have noticed if they were Vipers! Also not sure I would have beaten them??

When I bought the V-10 in '98, I researched the differences between the Viper and the Ram version from the FSMs, dealer techs, web forums and Dodge; basically, the only differences I could find were aluminum block and heads vs. iron, slightly more valve timing, and different intake & exhaust manifolds. No doubt the PCMs were flashed differently too!

Anyhow, in '98 the V-10 had significantly more torque & HP the the Cummins - from idle on up - that's why I bought it (plus it was several thousand $ less of an option). We smoked the tires at will during the test drive, and before the truck was outfitted for service you had to drive with a light foot to avoid squealing the tires. It's relatively simple & common to upgrade the intake, exhaust and valvetrain to make more power - never had any other trucks passing me until the 3rd gens came out (not including the 2nd gen twin-turbo heavy hitters, I'm sure! )

Plenty of power and 14mpg highway - I love every one of those 488 cubes... and we caused a lot of over the years during the stoplight wars.

Anyway, hopefully he will call me back shortly with info/pricing etc. Should be a fun event!

OK....RJ.

Bobby called me back. He has plenty of spots available and probably won't fill them all. ONE is definately saved for us. $40.00 is the price. I told him we would be coming in Friday the 13th late afternoon/evening.

Think anyone would be offended if I pulled out my generator? Where is it in Alvarado anyway?

Look at bottom of their Home page. Appears to be outside of town with nothing around! But maybe that's downtown?? (only 3800 pop).

I'll have my put put there that is quiet as a mouse if whatever you need to power is 115V....

After talking to some oil guy not going back to stock on the trans oil looks like Synthetic Manual Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) is the winner for the trans and Synthetic Universal Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) for the t-case unless somebody tells me otherwise....

Any opinions on changing out the rear main while I'm in there or follow the if its not broke dont fix it motto?? rear seal in the trans is getting replaced as it is seeping slightly (Note to self order Thurs..)

Still cant decide on install (hire or myself)... Dont know that anybody I hire will let me sit there and watch to make sure they do it right... feel like in order to have it done right I need to do it myself... man this decision sucks...

No reason to bring it. I have one too, but not bringing it. We will have 30 amp service to the RV with all the electricity you can use and more. In fact, I have an extra 30 amp hook up on the Toyhauler to run another RV off of if it was needed.

The A/C will blowing cold, but if this weather keeps up....I don't think it is going to be needed.

I'll be glad to grill some burgers one night.

I am putting in a request right NOW for some of Charlie's Chili if he is willing!

.
MTF is good stuff. You can add an extra quart or so by using the top PTO bolt hole for filling.

I'm very tempted to go, so it might be the day before that I decide to go, hence the reason for the generator, so I don't have to reserve a spot.
