Here is the Ram SRT-10. They have been doing this for a few years now.....and they are a HOT truck. Took the world record from the Ford Lightning for the worlds fastest production truck.

Here is more info on the Jeep Liberty Diesel. Its euro engine.....not a bad one really...but they are haveing a time getting it EPA approved.....there is not one this year...but i believe the last year or two they got them into the US.

It does....

SRT-10 is the V-10

SRT-4 is the turbo'ed 4 banger Neon

SRT-6 is the hopped up 6 they stuck in the Crossfire.....

SRT-8 is the hot 8 banger Hemi they ran in the Chargers and 300C's....

Basicly a sport package.....like the Cobra Mustangs and such....

OK......

The SRT-10 RAM is a Dodge Ram with an Alum block Viper engine. This is the Top Sport package that Dodge offers for the Ram pickup's. Like 500 HP!!

There is also a V-10 Ram (For HD applications), but this engine is an Iron Block. Power output is lower than the alum block version. (Heck...i dont even know if they still offer the cast iron block V-10...i know they did back in 03.....)

SRT is a Sport package. Like SVT for Ford (Special Vech. Team).

This was really my original question. Sorry but still not aware that it has been answered.

Somebody needs to push me into just payin somebody to get this clutch in.... Really cheapest reputable place I have found is around $450... Man thats a steep rate... My first time doing one on the ground no lift and a broken trans jack took me right at 5 hours (and that's with an hour of fiddling with the dang stuck pilot bearing).... I imagine all would go faster with the correct tools.... Ugggg!

I need to order some oil, haven't made that decision either... Some have pointed me in the direction of Amsoil and some have said replace with what came in stock.... Apparently its a full synthetic. I dunno, either way it will be overfilled a quart again.

Also need to get a new rear output seal for the trans while everything is apart... Think it seeps just a little bit....

Honestly......i hear that DD's are a pain to put in. AND i can tell you that im not a huge fan of pulling and installing NV-4500's from a mechanics point of view (AND 5600 are bigger). You are paying for the convenience and the skill of the person that is installing your clutch. It may seem high...but if its done right.....and quickly...i think that is not a bad deal. I would prob be in the area of 300-350 if I did one.

Just remember this Motto:

Cheap work is no good! Good work is not cheap!

Well... Whatever they were, they were only running mid to high 90's (mph) in the 1/4 mile. The Viper SRT-10 must be quicker than that??

RJ,

I just called Bobby and had to leave a message. I was trying to get the info for RV spot reservation. I called Diamond W and they said to contact him.

Anyway, hopefully he will call me back shortly with info/pricing etc. Should be a fun event!
