I can see the 1:00 am post now! Either.....
"The clutch is amazing!!!!! I did not realize how much difference it could make!"..................... or
"Help me.... It's fallen and I can't get up"

Is Justin Supervising?

Sounds like Alvarado is gonna be a big deal with the ODRA event rolled in to the festivities!

Brian's new clutch should be good for a mean 4HI 5th gear launch in the dirt! (mud)?

Rowland's new Lazar Bars should net him a few points in the show& shine...

and Robert's SSSSS will keep him from scratching the paint during the burnout contest.

Well, the NV5600 is about 400lbs of pig iron!
That's something I wouldn't tackle myself without help.

Did not realize they were that heavy!! Sounds like a nasty job without a lift!
I'm sure, after having done it once before, Brian figured out a better jack set up than last time.... which I seem to recall hearing was him being under it when as it came down??

Mikey, Met you in Houston but never saw your truck. Looked at gallery...did not realize Dodge still had Lt Almond in 03?? Thought the 03's went to 'Driftwood' (almost the same) and my 02 was the last yr for our color. Obviously not! Love to see it sometime...not many around anywhere, which is kind on nice, IMO
Coming to Alvarado?

Who has Brian's cell number, he may need to get something off his chest.

Hey Rowland,
Yep, '03 through '05 it's Lt. Almond. '06 the color changed to Khaki.

Don't think I'll be making it to Alvarado. Maybe laying tile in the Kitchen. Already pulled up the old flooring which put a hitch in my back.

Also gotta install a Westach combo gauge in my Dad's 6.7L Mega Cab.

Whoo Hoo!! It is in!!! started last night about 7:30 pulling things apart. This time I was at least smart enough to remove the transfer case off of the trans!!! Even still it was a heavy dog with a decent trans jack (last time the top plate on the jack I was using split and well rolled onto me!!). Stopped at around 1030 with old LUK out and parts scattered all over til morning...

Got back to the shop about 930 (already sore) and learily began drilling holes in my perfectly good rear main seal... put some self tapping screws in 180* from each other used a claw and both of em pulled out... I was that thing was in there!!! few holes later I was able to get a good hole and it literally popped out once it moved a bit.... rubber on the seal was surprisingly 'old rubber' looking and the back of the engine showed signs of seepage, no drops under the truck, but it wasn't too far away... New seal was almost as much work to put on... "Crank seal must be completely dry and free from all oils or any other liquid, use soapy water to lubricate outer edge...” kinda tough to have wet and dry within 1/2" of each other, but whatever... dang thing popped out twice before I finally got it in right... PS for anybody who cares Cummins has a new rear main kit out now has an extra ring for beating on... Still cheaper than anywhere else!!

Put in new trans seal, pretty uneventful old came out easy and new went in same

All per SB instructions: Removed pivot washer for extra clearance, new throwout, flywheel torqued to 95ftlb (PS hard to hold flywheel up and get bolt started!), disk, center plate, disk, pressure plate (hard to line up and hold and start bolt as well! )... torqued to 45ftlb no more than 1/4 turn at a time... took a while ...

I guess I was lucky last time cause it took me 30 minutes to stab the dang trans!!! Had to leave throw something say some words and regroup... went right in then

Other than that took me a little longer to get things back together dealing with e-brake 5" exhaust etc...

Total time 6:30... So dang sore... Not too bad for doing it alone with the gf handing tools!

Driving Impression:
Well I have all of 10miles on it, but I can say that other than the extra pedal pressure its about like driving a stock clutch! can take off from 2nd with zero shudder!! Huge + (Main reason for DD right?? Well for me anyways!! ) Will have to get more miles and break it in before I know more. I mainly want to see how she tows!

Think I am going to get the upgraded hydo... Seems like the stock setup barley has the ability to completely release the clutch starts to grab a bit early I believe... May be making it a bit harder to get into gear from a dead stop...

Will get pics up shortly!
