N.C. Dyno Day (Results)

Well, for those of you that couldn't make this event, you missed a great time!
We had several of our DTR Members post "personal bests" today in H.P./TQ including myself, Mike D., 2141pete, CHET (35"05"), Matt Honeycutt (Tiger Rag) and Phil McMaster (McMopar). There is more information and some pictures of this event on the original thread titled: "N.C. Dyno Day."

I want to again thank Phil (McMopar) for doing all of the "footwork" on setting this event up! Thanks Phil! Also a big thanks to Jeff Creech and his entire crew at "Carolina Auto Masters" for hosting this event for us again!

My thanks to all of the DTR Members and non-members that attended the event. We had sixteen (16) trucks run on the dyno and at one point today I counted thirty five (35) trucks in and around the building there. Also a thank you to the "Dodge Truck World" Hemi and Viper Owners who came out to brave the cold with us today! To Charles (mmmmtorque) my "competitor" and friend who owns that 05' Dodge SRT-10 Viper single cab, 6-speed pickup truck, I am looking forward to again "lining up with you" at Rockingham!! You have come a LONG WAY with those trucks in the last two years!

Listed below are the H.P./TQ numbers from all the trucks that ran on the dyno today. I have listed the highest H.P./TQ Numbers from each truck.
These numbers represent the "CORRECTED" H.P./TQ figures.
On some of these runs, the TQ figure is not listed as the "electronic pickup" was malfunctioning. On a few runs, the TQ was mathematically figured from the data. Below the numbers is all the weather information from today.

Pete:

You are very welcome on the help and I know that Johnner feels the same way! I told you that night in my garage when I was helping you install the turbo and injectors that your truck was going to run good! Heck, you have a turbo as good as the one I had on my 02' and bigger injectors than I did and my "raggedy" old 02' hit 486 H.P., so I KNEW yours was going to run good! I am happy you are happy Pete! I HATE IT that you have to go back to Iraq just when we have met and become friends Pete! You stay safe over there and get back here so we can do some more BOMBING to your truck! My sincere thanks to you and all of the military that keep our country safe and free!

What kind of fuel mileage did you all get going to the Dyno test?

dieselmedic:

Believe it or not, on my drive up from the Wilmington area I got 18.6 MPG with my 96'! Now, that is driving conservatively (at the speed limit or a little above ). I was telling a few of the members yesterday that my 96' with all the mods gets better mileage than my 2006 Dodge CTD CR!!

John you are the one I was wondering about. I told someone else about your HP and Torque numbers and they asked about mileage. I did not want to just tell them something out of my head. I wanted to give good numbers.

thanks

A lot of great numbers laid down yesterday. I was happy to see Mike D get over the hump at 507.....I still think he's got a little more in it though. I have to say I was happy with what I spun the dynojet to as well. A little more tweaking with the electronics and maybe I could overcome the next obstacle on #2.

John, I was just happy to be there to witness the 800+ run! That was just AWESOME! Unbelievable how quickly it spun the rollers. The run was almost over before it started. What a sleeper.....it idles up so quietly before it unleashes its fury and black smoke!

Very fun day and congrats to everyone for their great numbers!
