MIDTR in T.C.

Getting to be that time. My weekends off are gonna the weekends of 1-8, 1-22, 2-5, 2-19. 1-8 would be the best for me though. Karen and I both have that weekend off. The others, she would have to burn a little time to make it. If we can't get enouph people for those weekends, I can try getting out of work early on another weekend, but weather and workload will dictate that day.I've stayed at the Hampton a few times, nice with pool. Hooliday Inn cheap rooms are ok, but within walking distance of downtown shopping. Tony has stayed at a couple other places. There are some Mom & Pop places out toward the state park that are decent and a bit cheaper. We like to go up early and hit the antique stores and shops downtown, stop for a brew, etc. Go to dinner, then take off Sunday Morning. Hope you can make it,
Don

Weekend of 1/8 looks good for me, also. Thanks for bringing this up, Don. A lot of stuff going on with me personally right now and I almost forgot. Everybody else chime in here and let us know what's good. This is dinner at Boone's Long Lake Inn in Traverse City. All MIDTR members, and all other interested folks are welcome. However, if you make the commitment, please show up! Last year I have 17 people respond, and there were 7 of us at dinner that evening. It's a great time, super food, and the price isn't bad, either.

Thumbs up

1/8/05 should be good with me. 1/22/05 is the wife's birthday, don't know how she would feel about a trip north for dinner, her idea of a winter sport is waiting in line at an airport heading south . Shopping may entice her!! If she won't make the trip on the 8th... I'm sure I can find a buddy up for the ride.

Nascarcamper: Invite away! Anyone interested in diesel pickups is welcome, even if they aren't enlightened like we are. Just keep updating this thread with numbers.

I have not posted because I do not think I'll be able to make it. I would love to go and meet you guys, but do not know if I can get that far away from home right now. I think I would kill 200 miles getting there. Winter is not the best time for me to get away that far. Would be nice if people got together more than once a year. You guys set a date and I will see what happens, that is the best I can do right now.

Paul

Yeah, we should. I've been meeting up with Chaikwa now and then, you'll have to tag along sometime. We're still contemplating paying Herb a visit to see his wagons sometime. Have you been through Owosso lately? They have the 1225 painted to match the Polar Express for Saturday excursions to the North Pole.

We've been kicking around the idea of a meet and greet sometime in April or May near the middle of the state (Lower Penninsula, that is). The last couple of years we've had a get together during the weekend of the DHRA event at Martin Dragway but not many have attended.

Karen's not coming so I'm more flexible now. 8th still a good idea or is it pushing it now? ArkansasRam said he could possibly make it sometime after January.

Paul, Boone's raises their own Cattle to butcher, maybe you could write the trip off. Or maybe you were just exagerating about that 20 MPG..........

I was planning on it, but I'm flexable.
