OK guys, there has been some people talking about another get together. We could go to Mountain Town Station like last year which was good, Little Creek Casino since someone has an in there, or somewhere else. Lets hear what you guys want to do.

I am up for going somewhere new.

It's the Mt Pleasant Depot. I guess I'd vote for that again, probably closer for everybody.

 

I would think that it is closer for most people. We could go to Soaring Eagle in Mt. Pleasant also, or something in Lansing or GR. I am up for somewhere new.

I like Clara's, if you can get in. We'd probably have to do it earlier in the day, because they line right up and it's hard to fine parking.

 

If it is that hard to get in I don't think that we should try to go there. Any other suggestions?

Paul, any type of depot restaurant or steakhouse in Owosso? Too bad rooftop landing closed down.

 

I really don't know about a steakhouse, Owosso is the fast food capital. They have a depot in Durand to watch trains, but its not a restaurant. I haven't been there in some time, but Gracie's Country Inn in New Lothrop has great food. I can't find a website for them but their sister Gracie's Country House does. www.graciessteakhouse.com Same Family owns both so not sure why one has a web page and the other doesn't. My dad said the Inn was still open a month ago. They have about the same menu at both places.

Does anyone really want to do this? It doesn't seem like there is very much interest. I don't mind trying to coordinate it, just seems kind of dead in this post.

 

there's 4 or 5 of us in the kalamazoo area, depending on where it is we'll be there.

 

It doesn't matter where we have it. Is there a good place to eat around Kalamazoo? Maybe we could just meet in Lansing, that should be fairly central for everyone.
