Last night at 2AM, not a car on the road in either direction except me for as far as i could see. And the deer decides to run across 152 while i'm coming...... .......amazingly, he left nothing more than some hair. not even a dimple on the bumper. I got lucky........

Yes you did. It's been a few years since I've hit one, last one was a little doe down in Kent Co., I plowed it, never even saw it till the last minute. Took out one of my 3 week old fog lights. DOI, (dead on impact) for bambi though.

Glad to hear you were lucky with this one Dean.

Finally put in my new sender today, steady pressure of 11-12psi @ idle and never drops below 9psi at WOT....guess all is finally fixed.

Yesterday (before the sender swap) I did finally notice what was causing erratic readings....drum roll please.....the grid heaters. When they kicked on, the readings would drop like a rock. It still drops about 1psi today after the sender swap (when the grid heaters kick on), so I think the voltage drop was driving the sender crazy.

I may still put in that relay you had Scotte (next time we are wrenching) but I'm breathing easier now that its no longer dropping into "raise my blood pressure" territory no matter what I do.

Hope you all have a great St. Patty's Day and don't drink too many green beers

Well anyways i finally fixed my fuel pressure problems.
thanks to all who donated their spare parts.
My pressure would be at 0 when i started the truck and after about 5 minutes it would finally come up to 10psi.
So yesterday i undeleted my LP and put on a new Campaign pump that John had. i had to reuse my old banjo line from the LP to the FF.
Now my pressures are back at 21 idle. I'm happy now.

glad to hear that. i'm supprised that the holly wouldn't keep the pressure up on its own.

You all have these fuel problems and mine is great. Thanks to Scott we got my gauges in yesterday. I was very surprised to see almost 15psi at idle with just the campaign pump and the big line kit.
I have 14-15psi at idle, 11.5-12 at 60mph cruise, and I can't get it below 11psi at WOT.
I am pleased..

i haven't had a single problem with my fuel system since i changed over to the walbro pump i'm seeing 28 psi at idle. only problem i did have was loading the smarty i had to unplug the relay to my pump cause it would interrupt the program installing.

i could have a sweet project truck if i only had the cash up front for it. 01 dually, 4x4 ext cab, 147k miles, needs doors, bed, and dually fenders, and a front bumper. $8k for it and it has 4" dual exhaust, edge comp, and ATS TC and VB already in it so the tranny is pretty good.

that would be fun, do all the work to put it back together then send it off to the paint shop to get sprayed...have a decent dually with good tranny in it for about $14k

or part out the good stuff and make back your $8k investment and then some

Project truck sounds like fun T.J. A few trips to the bone yard could fix her up nice. Then you'd just be figuring out how to smoke all 6 tires though!!

Well i have to work Saturday til 4. But i'm always up for some general BSing and puttin back a few beerz.
Oh ya with the warmer weather i'm up to 26psi idle. Had to put 20 gallons of regular Diesel today, don' know when i'll get up to get some more Bio.
Did i tell you that when i put on the new LP i checked the FF and it was still as white as it was the day i put it in.
