Fall Brawl 2007..."No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair.”
One thing I forgot to mention and offer thanks to was Diesel World Magazine. They did send a photographer Saturday for our show and many magazine shoots were done.Everyone needs to thank them for coming and this writer certainly offers a huge THANK YOU to them and a thumbs up.
Now a couple of things that I have stewed on and didn't know how to address so I will just say whats on my mind.
1st-Saturday while leaving some owners took it upon themselves to deliberately spin and tear up the grassy hill. When I did some asking of who was up there and if anyone seen who it was I was told it was on purpose and when one leaves a field and accelerates on purpose, burnout style,it makes this club look bad.People I ask that you respect SGS's property the same as you would your own and leave like an adult. I have the photos from up where those marks are and know who it was and you should chime in and at least admit your wrong doing.
2nd..Trash all over laying on the ground. While I admit the wind was blowing on Sunday some it still didn't blow that much all over the hill.It was palin and simple lazy people who just dropped their garbage and did not walk down and place it in a can.We as a club have never had this issue before and I would hope next year we will not again.Again all we ask is for you to respect the property as it was your own and pick up after yourself.

Andy:
Again, my thanks to the GREAT JOB you guys all did at Fall Brawl!! I also want to echo what you said in thanking the Crew from "Diesel World" for coming out to cover the event. I didn't catch their names, but all of their Staff seem to be some really good people. I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Wilson, Editor of "Diesel World" at the "ATS Truckfest" in Denver, Colorado back in July and he is really a great guy with alot of knowledge about the diesel trucks. It is good to see them covering our sport. THANKS "Diesel World!"

Sorry about the burnouts on the grass there and the trash!
I have said continually that I really don't know why people do things like that. The other issue brought up by alot of the attendees at Fall Brawl was the careless driving by some of the participants there. Doug Smith told me there was actually an accident at that intersection at the top of the hill last year!--------

Congratulations to all of the winners and thanks to all of the sponsors, and everyone who was involved in making this years event a huge success, especially SGS Automotive for the outstanding job they do getting the trucks on, and off the dyno. These things just keep getting better every year.
Fall Brawl
I had a great time myself, got to see a LOT of people i havent seen in a few years, Felt like old times. Saw a lot of NICE rigs and more power than i can dream of. Even got my truck shot for DW mag. Thanks for a great show as usual Andy, Doug, SGS and so many others that put in a LOT of work. i'm not much for posting any more but wanted to say thanks,

What a whale of a show this was, and great weather to boot!
Not only greater attendance each year, but the power numbers are getting unreal. 4 digits from a daily driven truck! This is a show where real trucks put power to the ground, coming from western PA and ranging from North Carolina to New England.. and everywhere in between. Dodges still rule the property with about 90% attendance, maybe 10-15 Fords and 3 or 4 GM Duramaxes spotted over the weekend. Sunday, even a Ranger and Bronco II Cummins 4BT conversion showed up and joined the fun field.
I'd like to send sincere kudos to John P for making the trip up to dyno and be part of the show. This 280K mile red beauty is not only a sight to be seen, it puts 800plus hp to the ground. If you have any factory brochures of 2nd gen Rams sitting around, take a gander at the pictures and study John's truck, ..his will look as good if not better than when new!
Well, the summer season is fading fast. But when the trees turn green again in the spring, the Spring Fling will be here before we know it..

What a great show!!!!
I would personally like to thank Andy, Doug, Jim, Lloyd, Keith and all the other Mason Dixon TDC members that make these events possible!! You all do a great job!!
A special thanks to Dave, George, Jason and the rest of the crew at SGS for their hospitality and tireless effort!!
I also want to thank everyone who attended!! Our events are getting larger and larger and it is great to see all the participation!!
So now everyone has all winter to get prepared for next years events. Look for our Spring Fling event in April-May which has become a 2 day event and rivaling the Fall Brawl in size!! Our mid season Dyno-Drag day and of coarse, The Fall Brawl!!
Thanks again,
Greg

I could not see well myself when leaving Sunday. It is hard to tell what lane people are in when they are coming from the right.....
Just drive with caution, don't attract attention to yourself by acting like a fool, and respect others property as you would want them to respect yours....That is the best info I can give.

nick17847:
Thanks alot for your nice comments on my old 96'!
I sincerely enjoyed coming back up to "Fall Brawl" again and it was great to see everyone again. The event has definitely grown alot since I last attended three years ago.
As far as the condition of my 96', as I think I told you and several others there, I had bought the truck new in 95' and it has always been garaged since it was new, and I think that makes a tremendous difference on the paint etc. not having to sit out in the sun, wind, rain etc. Then there is the issue of the salty roads you guys have to put up with up north. We have "salty air" here on the east coast, but I keep the truck washed and waxed which helps that. So anyway, that is some of the reasons why I think my 96' has helped to stay in good condition.
Thanks again though.

I saw several guys tearing up the lawn as they left. Fords and Dodges. It was about the time all the big powered Dodges hit the dyno. I even commented on it to the guys I was standing with. I can't remember exactly what the trucks looked like though.
I threw all my trash in the cans..
I'm a Dodge man and will only have a Dodge truck but I like going to events where all three mfrs are in attendance even though there were only a couple GMs there. The funny thing was that I made more power than any of the Ferds that dynod. Those were some very nice trucks but they just don't make the numbers like the Dodges I guess.. Maybe next year I'll have some more goodies on the Beast and I'll get on the dyno too....
Maybe not...
JohnP, It's a nice truck but why does it smoke like that???

Dodgezilla:
About all the smoke you asked about on my truck...............................

Well, if you listened to COMP 461 (Greg Hogue) he would say it is because the truck is the "old technology, archaic design, built by a company that doesn't know what they are doing........"
The major reason is because my compression ratio is lowered down to allow for the extra drive pressures from the twin turbos, the amount of fuel going into the engine through that huge P-7100 Pump, the "fixed" or mechanical timing on that P-7100 fuel pump, and the size of my injectors. I generally use some extra cetane in the fuel which actually clears up alot of that smoke but I was out of it at the rally. Dodgezilla, I guess the bottom line is "it is just the nature of the beast",....the beast being, 96'-98' high horespower Cummins 12 valve trucks that have been "slightly modified."

Thanks for coming!!

As for the "Ferd" comment.....Unfortunatly Jason "Thuglike" was unable to attend due to family obligations........He has several 600+ hp #2 only pulls with a 7.3 PSD on that dyno

Not to mention my old 7.3 had done many 700+ dyno runs there
