Hey Joel,
Now I'm not sure if I'll be off or not. I'm suppose to finish up my last graveyard Saturday morning at 0800,,,,,,,, but I have a feeling that I may be forced to work until 1600. :'( I should find out some time in the middle of the week.

Ed and Dennis,
It was nice to meet you two in person. I had a blast just standing around and talking about the trucks. Learned alot from Merv as well, he was putting up with all my questions and said he'd help me out with my truck if I needed it. Hope to see you all at the next one.

Re:DHRA Diesel Drags at Budds Creek MD, 10-25-2003
While I don't have a list of results, I can say that the fastest street-legal diesel pickup at the race was a Dodge, Merv's Dodge, who ran high 12's. The faster Ford and Chebby trucks I saw were in the 14's. Now there was a Chebby with a Cummins it in there. Do we root for him because he had a Cummmins? ??? Sorry, I do not remember what he ran.
Some, and definitely Dennis, will be happy to know that Dennis was NOT the slowest Dodge out there. ;D This is not to speak bad of Dennis since he is stock, but he was still a little faster than a 12v that was there, also stock, who ran 18's.
No, I didn't lend Dennis my PM3. I was too afraid of what he said earlier, and I didn't bring enough water with me. :
I met some new people and got to give advice on drag racing to one fellow, who got into the 14's with his dually after conversations with me and Merv. Fun for all.

Hey Ed,
You got a picture of my trophy! ;D I didn't know what to think when the time-slip guy gave me the pillow with the mint on it, but then I read the reaction time on the ticket. :
The truck was slow, but pretty consistent with 17.68, 17.65 and 17.70. However, I broke the tires loose on the first round elims and run the worst time of the day at 17.92. :'(
I still had fun! ;D Besides,,,,, less chance of breaking something when you're SLOW. ;D
I had a chance to meet some new folks and get together with friends I don't see very often, and even shared a learning experience with Shovelhead:
NEVER stand behind the Jet Dragster when it fires up or leaves the starting line!
BOTTOM LINE: It was a really nice day and I enjoyed every minute of it. I even stayed awake for the drive home. Didn't last long after I got home at 8pm,,,,,,, was "Gone to the World" by 9,,,,,,,, 29 hours without sleep = sleeping until 1100 this morning! "I feel so REFRESHED this morning" ;D
