The 4 chargers have morphed into 2 mega-chargers. It's a 35/40 with a 14cm2 housing. Just tight enough to spool reeeeeeeeeally well. I still need to have it balanced, that will push the price for these twins over the $500 mark. I'm trying my hand at Autocad so we can use a friend's plasma table to make perfect flanges. Mmmm... flanges.

More on the dyno day - Howard @ Dynotune says it's a go for the 3rd. $75 for 3 runs or rent the dyno for an hour for $100/hr. He'll even sponsor the tropies!

Remember to bring your chairs, coolers and coats!

I am putting in for the day off now,LOL. Let me know if you need any help.
I am trying to get the 12vchevydually to show up, but I am not shure if it will
happen. I wouldn't mind seeing what the old first gen can put down.

We're gonna limit the size of trucks we put on the dyno... The owners have requested < 7000# trucks, but said they'll make the decision the day of the dyno upon inspecting the individual trucks.

what are you trying to say,LOL
I think the 12vchevydually only weights 7,100lbs and thats with the dualls, so I am shure it can get down to a fighting weight of 7,000lbs.

That's good. I forgot those were lighter. Dodge quad cab duallys with flat beds push the limit.

Dodge QC LB singles push the 7000 limit... duallys should be way past..... why the limit for the dyno?

Found empty curb weight for above mentioned truck as 6787 lbs according to dodgeram.org.....

Brandon..
Something to think on for you,
IF the shop is willing to rent by the hour then you may find it easier to just rent the shop by the hour for the day instead of paying for individual pulls. When we do our shows, the shop we use average just under 6 trucks per hour on a 3 pull run. This past weekend we did 38 on Saturday(started at 9 am and finished at 4pm,with a hour lunch) and on Sunday we started at 9:15am and by Noon we had 20 trucks done, after lunch we did 15 more from 1pm to 3:30 pm when we finished. If you do the math you will see what I mean.

With your shop adding a weight limit of 7,000lbs they will eliminate all trucks except shortbeds and the 1998 and back ext cabs.1998 and up quads are tipping the scales at shipping weight near 7,000 and if the owner has a full tank of fuel and his normal items inside he will be over.It will also eliminate all duallys from dynoing. Its their shop and you have to abide by their rules but I can not see why they want to limit the trucks weight. Our shows we run all, including duallys and have no issues. The one thing we do though is have the dually owners remove their outside tires as it allows for easier lining up on the jet wheels.

Hope this helps some and if work eliminates their mandatory 6th day I may come out for this as I need to trip into Thornville anyway for some items.I may make a long weekend of it......Andy

Cool! Thanks Andy! They were on me last time since someone who was well over 8k bent their loading ramps. This is a mobile dyno so it takes a bit longer to strap down and setup. They were at the Charity Pull in New Lex on the 8th and ran about 3 trucks an hour in the rain.

It basically started off being 6-8 of my friends who wanted to get on the rollers and I figured I'd announce it here to see if anyone else wanted to come. Howard did ask me if I wanted to rent by the hour and handle the money, but I didn't want that hassle. I'm shooting for a more relaxed, sit down and chat atmosphere instead of a frantic dyno day.

We'd love to have you attend the event, hopefully the weather cooperates.

I remember the truck that bent the ramps...F350 Crew Cab 6.0, with a toolbox and probably 200+ gallons of fuel in the bed!

Either that, or it was me. I weighed just under 8K at the time, now it's heavier . I really would hate to take off the flatbed to dyno, but if I get to install all the stuff sitting here for it, I WILL!! I also have a low range now so it will be easier to back up the ramps, too!

Brandon, where'd you find a 14cm housing?? I also may need some flanges sometime too. On for a B2 inlet flange, and an HX35 non-wastegated outlet. I bought another turbo HX35 w/60mm wheel and 14cm non-gated housing. If I can't spool the 40, I'll build it so this will fit!!

That's the truck! Claimed to have 700hp. Dynoed just shy of 337hp if I remember right.

I got the 14 housing from you. It was on the locked up 35. We just cut the b2 flanges tonight. Plasma tables are cool! I have the files for it, he said we can make more anytime we want. 1/2" steel since I didn't want the flange to warp!

The dyno is still on! Trophies should be ordered this week.
