Claremont Dyno Event&GTG/Results/Aftermath

Well, for any of you that did not make this event , you missed a great time!
As usual, it was well organized and we had a very good turnout. It was great to see everyone again and to meet some of the new faces at this event.

I want to start off by saying thanks to Joel (Dieseldude4X4) for organizing this event and to David Dunbar and his helper (Jordan) from "Diesel Performance Motorsports" for bringing the dyno up to Claremont and doing a great job for us! Thanks David and Jordan!

I also want to thank Mike Reeson (Claremont Fire Chief) for providing us with a great facility, again! A thanks should also go out to all the sponsors who provided the raffle and auction items such as our own Lary Ellis (Top), Tim Barber (Timinva), Joel (Dieseldude4X4) along with all of the participants that brought food, drinks etc. Thanks to our cooks, Lary Ellis who makes a mean bratwurst and Mike for the wings and BBQ. If I have missed anyone here, my sincere apologies.

I tried to get all the dyno numbers for everyone that made a run on Davids' Dyno. I have listed the numbers in the order they ran on the dyno and have the MAXIMUM H.P./TQ. numbers that each truck ran. If I missed anyone on this my apologies. I hope I got them all. As Mike D. pointed out in the other Claremont thread, the weather was HOT and HUMID and not really the best conditions/air for optimum results. I think everyones numbers were probably lower than they would have been had the air been a cooler/drier.

Here is the list on the dyno runs:

NAME-------------------------TYPE VEHICLE---------------------H.P./TQ

1.) Chris Stamey (Stamey)-----99' Dodge CTD--------------------490/864
2.) Chris Stamey (Stamey)-----96' Dodge CTD--------------------254/598

7.) Jerry Brooks----------------02' Dodge CTD-------------------459/878
8.) Thomas Terry------------- 02' Dodge CTD-------------------566/1120
9.) Tim Younce----------------05' Chevy Duramax---------------381/641

19.) David Hertle (Phatty)------02' Dodge CTD-------------------497/1011
20.) Chuck Finch---------------98' Dodge CTD (12 valve)--------428/827
21.) Tim Cruise (fgrdods)-------05' Dodge CTD CR----------------678/1100
22.) John Porterfield, Sr.(John_P)96' Dodge CTD-------------------801/1496
23.) Mike (Dodgezilla)-----------07' Dodge CTD CR----------------452/870
24.) Tim Barber (Timinva)-------06' Dodge CTD CR----------------775/1250

If I have missed anyone, please let me know and I will add your name and numbers to this list.

Great post John, I second everything he said.

I do have a problem with your post tho.

What about the mysteriously FORD that ran a 731 HP? It made it's run and then seemed to vanished into thin air.

I had a great time.

One thing I did notice this morning when packing up is the grass grew quite abit, I believe that is from all the BS that was spread around the entire area.

Looking forward to next year. Who knows I might have a high powered FORD by then. Seems like the Dodge folks when ever then get together they have the hoods up and some one is getting dirty.
One just never knowns.

Great seeing everyone again and meeting new diesel heads.
Thanks again to everyone made this such a outstanding event.

See Ya
Chris

Great to see you at the meet.

It's always good to have a baseline to see what future mods will add to the figures.

Looks like a blast was had by all. This is a great site with ALOT of GREAT people. Hate I missed it, but I'm a newlywed and the wife was sick. I had plans of leaving at 4AM Sat morning until my wife went to the Dr. and he wrote her out of work for 3 days. At least I got the yard mowed.

Catch yall next year!

Ya know, if I'd dyno'd, we might've had a close race for last place.

I've been there and done that. There is no shame in last place with this group. Only help and support. I had a great time everytime I went to a meet. It is a family. God bless this nation and the freedoms we enjoy.

What a GREAT weekend!
Good turnout,,,
Good weather,,,,,
Good food,,,,,
Great folks to be around.
It was really good seeing old friends and meeting new faces. A big thank you to the CVFD for the use of their facility, to all the sponsors for the auction & raffle items, to David and Jordan for bringing the dyno and busting their butts in the heat all day. I told Jordan that most of us would have been so stiff and sore from all the work they did,,,,,, none of us would have been able to move the next day. I would also like to thank all the grill operators that cooked the great food during the event (Mike, Ted, Top and John P.and everyone else that supplied eats).

And lastly,,,,, thanks to all the folks who attended and made it a really great time! Everybody did such a great job of keeping things clean and neat that the clean up after it was over consisted of nothing more than emptying the trash cans and and closing the doors on the firehouse. And thanks Stamey, for the use of the dump trailer.

I think this was the best year so far for this event.

Just dropped the money off with Mike Reeson at the CVFD.
Final count was a whopping $1067.00.
They were impressed, amazed, and very thankful.
That's twice what we raised each of the last ones.
Thanks to all that donated items and money and I hope you all had a good time.
They thought Dennis's idea to carve the big DTR in the grass was really cool too.

(note to self, throw Christina and Butch raffle tickets under the table next year)

David, Jordan, Top, and Huey, didn't get to see you before you pulled out but we'll see ya's next time. I'm sure Huey will be back in our little part of the country again.
John, sorry you had to donate so many tires, too bad we couldn't put the blown ones to use.
Thanks to Stamey for letting us smell his, er ah, exhaust. 100% bio smells pretty good.

Thanks again to all and I gotta go sit a while and rest my ankles.

For those of you who are unaware that PapaSmurf had an operation on his neck a few months back,,,,,,, I think the Doc might have let a few too many brain cells leak out the bottom of his head through the opening in his neck,,, thus causing him to be delusional at times or it could still be side effects from the medication he was on,,,,,, or the Barley-Pops he consumed that day,,,,
There were NO Fords on the dyno and I really don't think we had any pull onto the grounds all day.

I think the Smurf just likes to stir the pot!

Technically.....there WAS one Ford there.
In the firehouse engine bay....where (from what I've been told) it stays......
Joel knows why.........
