uh, for those of you not following my thread in the help section, I'm just going to go ahead and hang out in Yuma, AZ until monday or tuesday. Technical difficulties at the tranny shop completely rebuilding my tranny under warranty lead to my truck not being finished today, so they'll be back on it on monday I guess. Work? Nah, I don't like getting paid anyway, why bother going to work? It's just one more week, what's another grand good for anyway?

Ok guys and gals. Tomorrow is the day! I'm still trying to get a general head count. So far were looking @ about 25. So if anybody else is planning on coming let me know. If your unsure and at the last minute decide to come, no problem, there's plenty of room where were going to be. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody.

Tye

y'all have fun. it's alright, I didn't want to go anyway; I mean, what fun would a bunch of tri-tip, beer and oil burner gearheads with cali coast weather be anyway?
IT'S 120 DEGREES HERE! why? who would want to live here?

thanks for the link. looks like a really nice park you were at. I vote for having another BBQ there.
I can't complain too much about my rough day. woke up at 9:00, played on the computer, went and layed down by/in the pool for a while, came back inside and played some xbox(halo2), played on the computer and then spent a few more hours at the pool. SPF 8 is doing the trick, I'm turning brown and not red so that's nice.

Hey Jon,A few of us discussed the idea of coming over and trailering your stuff back to a local shop. But it sounds like life is rough hanging out at the pool and playing halo.Living the life of a rock star or something .

ahh, it's good to know people that know people
it's kinda like living life like a rockstar except that anyone hot or smart got out of Yuma as soon as they could so there's not much for company here. the only hotties are from california and are only here for the winter because IT'S A HUNDRED AND TWENTY DEGREES HERE right now!
my sister-in-law's hot friends only came to visit when she and my brother and little girl were here and now they're gone.
this is just an odd situation. got stuck here in the first place because of a local shop and now stuck over the weekend because this shop had the wrong monkey putting o-ring'd parts together. they're not trying to screw me, the guy I'm staying with is very good friends with the tranny shop owner and called them up and let them know that I was with him so they wouldn't treat me like just another californian.

If I would've known on tuesday that it'd take a week I would've come out better getting a round trip airline ticket and coming back to pick my truck up.

so what local tranny shops are good in central CA? I know Richard Brown from Brown's Diesel in Riverdale is a dealer for Dave Goerend but he's not really a tranny shop...but he's a good dude and good at tweaking and fixing cummins. I also know that Performance Transmission in Visalia would be among my last resort choices.

haha, well, it's the thought that counts, right? Theoretically I COULD have been picked up and trailered back home(last time that happened the limited slip grenaded 1,500 miles after I bought the truck and I happened to be in El Centro...there seems to be a strong hatred for my truck being near mexico)

kyle, when are you coming to visit the valley??
