Diesels in Dinwiddie, Virginia for a two day event!

This is the event that the NC crew came up for last year and the top three spots for the bracket class were all DTR members. Masonic-Dodge took 1st place,,,, yours truly took 2nd and Timinva took third place, plus we all had a great time. This is a beautiful NHRA track and there will be plenty of Diesels from pick-ups to Big Rigs.

Let's start planning on who will be coming and I will check for motel and camping info. I live about 20 minutes away from the strip and I'm off that weekend,,,,,, so that makes one will be attending

If I get this junk running by then, I will be good to go Saturday. I start nights the 21'st for six weeks so SUnday is out.

I'm looking forward to this event. I had a great time last year.

 

I thought the webpage listed what was happening on what day, but I see that it doesn't now. ??? VMP is hosting the NHRA race this weekend, so maybe I can check with them after this BIG weekend is over.

Just taking a guess, I'm thinking they will have the big rig Show-N-Shine competition and Test & Tune on Saturday with the actual racing competition on Sunday. This is the first year that it has been a two day event, so I don't know for sure.

I'll keep y'all posted on any new info,,,,

This event is the same weekend as "Fall Brawl!" I have already committed to attend their event. Maybe next year it will be on a different day/weekend.
I missed this last year too due to my teaching schedule.

That's a good idea Tim. Maybe I can follow you guys down there and make both events too. We can "caravan" like we did in the old days and really black out the roads!

Hi to you all. Im from North Jersey but will be driving down to the show. It would be cool to meet some of the DTR members there. Hope to get in some racing and checking out all the rigs, big and small.

 

The replacement 44 is supposed to be here today so I may have this junk running by then to be able to make it. I went year before last and really liked the big trucks.
