An Arizona Meet & Greet is being planned for Saturday March 11, '06 @ 10.00AM.

It will be held at the Pilot Travel Center (Truck Stop) in Eloy, AZ. (halfway between Phoenix & Tucson), Exit 208 off of I-10, on the east side of the freeway (Flying-J is on the west side).

We will be in the parking lot on the east side of the building.

Food & beverages will be available at the store.

If you want, you may bring lawn chairs.

Both DTR & TDR members have been notified.

Don't forget your "BS-PROOF" Ear Plugs, you may need them!!!

I plan on attending. Will there be any performance CTD's there? I've been keeping up with this meet over at TDR but I'm not a member there yet, so I could't post. How many are planned to attend?

 

To be honest with you, last year, we did not have a huge turn-out. Maybe 8 or 9 trucks but, we had a good time.

Everyone that attended really likes their trucks & enjoys talking about them. You don't need a big crowd to have a good time. However, the more the merrier!!!

Also, last year, we had it later in the year & it was pretty hot, outside.

I've, personally, driven (with my trailer) back to Indiana for Schied's Diesel Extravaganza, Thunder in Muncie & the Turbo Diesel Nationals. Been to CA. many times for diesel events. Gone to May Madness in Las Vegas & Parumph, NV. many times. So, going to Eloy for a diesel gathering is like going to one in my backyard. I've never been to one where I had a bad time.

Well, at least there's some nice long & flat deserted roads around there that we could play on if anyone wanted to. I'm in the beginning stages of getting a Chapter going back here we only have about 5-6 dedicated members right now, but we'll get some more when the weather warms and people see that it will take.

Thanks to all that showed up on Saturday, 3/11/'06.

We had about 14 people show up. The early-birds got there before the 10:00 AM start-up & the last of us left at about 5:10PM. Seven-plus hours of diesel talk!!! Not bad!!! Especially, when you consider the weather. It rained, most of the time, with blowing winds & temps in the low 40's. We stayed outside longer than I had expected but, finally moved inside.

I'm sorry I missed it. I didn't see the thread until now. We drove to Las Crusas for something to do Sat. Oh well.
