3 Days of Pulling in Indiana

On the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Spetember the Lanesville Heritage Weekend will be hosting one of the biggest Truck and Tractor Pulls you've ever seen.

As is the norm Thursday night's Pull will be all tractors. It starts at 7:00pm with the scales opening at 5:00pm.

Saturday brings another day of tractor pulling and I mean a full day with a total of 14 classes of tractors ranging from Antique to Pro Stockers, we even throw in some Mini Mods. Saturday's pull starts at 3:00pm with the scales opening at 12:00pm.

Friday is the night that the Trucks come out to play. We will be Pulling at least 7 classes of trucks on Friday night. Including several I.T.P.A. classes, and of course 2 street classes, 6,200lb and 7,500lb, and one 8,000lb Diesel Super Stock class. Friday nights pull starts at 7:00pm with the scales opening at 5:00pm.

If anyone is interested in Pulling and needs a copy of the rules or more info feel free to call or email me. There will also be plenty of other activities for the whole family. This is one Tractor and Truck Pull you don't want to miss.

With a charger in one piece? Just kidding ya, buddy!

Seriously everybody! Darrell and I both belong to this club and I have never been to a pull that is better. I am sure there are some, but not many. If you like tractors, then you are all set. There will be approx. 350 -500 on display, not mention all the ones pulling. And we have some of the best tractors in the country in our Super Farm and Hot Farm classes. We will have a lot of the tractors you see at the National Farm Machinery Show pull in Lanesville that weekend. Not to mention all the trucks. We look to have 2 awsome Diesel truck classes this year. So if you can make it, I would highly recommend it.

Don't forget guys this Friday, the scales open at 5:00PM with the Pull starting at 7:00PM.

As of right now I'm looking at 40 trucks in the Street classes and not sure what's showing up for the 8,000 Super Stock class. 8)

Re:3 Days of Pulling in Indiana

You're expecting 40 trucks in the street class when you can't run ladder bars? Who made that rule and WHY? We were planning on coming down(10-12 of us), but with the way the rules are setup....forget it!

If it came from the factory with them, then you are more than welcome to run them. If it did not, then it is not a factory suspension. Same reason we don't let people run with airbags, it's not factory.

I am not trying to argue with you. I am just telling you the rules. They apply to everyone. So if they don't help you then why are you worried about not being able to use them?

Re:3 Days of Pulling in Indiana

The reason for the rule is to even the playing field a bit. When I say Pure Street that's what I mean.

This is a rule that we have had at this pull for the last 4 years. The guy that first made up the rules knew nothing about trucks, but he still manages the whole pull so I didn't want to stir things up too much my first year of taking over. I've gotten a lot of negative feed back on the rule this year and next year it will be dropped. I can't do anything about it this year being it's the first year I've run the truck pull, but I'm willing to work on changing it next year. I realize that you guys run the bars to keep from braking things, and I don't blame you for doing that, I would probable do the same if I was pulling my truck.

Just bear with me this year, and next year I'll work something out for all you guys. I hope to have larger purses, how does $500 for first place sound? Along with a few rule changes and maybe if the turn out is good one more diesel class. If you want you are more than welcome to pull in the 8,000lb class Friday, those safety rules in that class only apply to the trucks with twin turbos. If you run a single charger you don't need all the safety equipment.

Even if you don't want to pull you should still come and check it out. It's one awesome pull.

If you have any questions give me a call I'll be happy to answer them.

Re:3 Days of Pulling in Indiana

I have to agree with the rules. Pure Street=Pure Street
Single FACTORY turbo and FACTORY suspension. No altercations=PURE STREET. (There's only so much you can do powerwise with a factory turbo.)

Good job so far DB.

Schedualing is still kinda up in the air for Friday night but I'd say the Diesels will start about 8:00PM. It all depends on when I.T.P.A. want's to start pulling thier classes. : They do this every year and it's starting to get old. Most likely the Street classes will pull first then the I.T.P.A. classes (4 of them) then the 8,000lb Super Stock Diesels will run, but don't quote me on that.

Re:3 Days of Pulling in Indiana

Ladder bars keep you from buying yokes and u-joints every week. And keep you from bouncing. We already have other plans but I really wanted to come down there. Maybe we'll come next year.
