2006 - Ozone Depletion Tour - Atlanta

Diesel Performance Motorsports will for the 5th year host diesel dragracing during the 22nd Annual Hayes Mopar vs the World event Friday night September 8th and Saturday September 9th.

If you like drag racing, this is an event you don't want to miss.

Diesel racing will consist of DHRA Pro Street, DHRA quick diesel, and DPM Shootout bracket racing.

DPM bracket class will pay $500 to win, $150 runner-up, and $50 for the two 3rd place vehicles.

DPM will add $200 to the quickest ET for a manual transmission truck during DPM Shootout eliminations.

Competition Diesel.com will add $100 for the quickest of each brand during the DPM Shootout bracket eliminations.

$1000 (and counting) will be paid out to the tube chassis vehicles. Keating will be here. Greg Hogue will be here, and hopefully Schied and Scott Bentz will too.

If diesels aren't enough, how about watching 8 Nostalgia Nitro Funny Cars from Hartman Enterprise. Or how about NHRA Pro Stock racing with Richie Stevens, Allen Johnson, and Shawn Carlson.

The kids will love watching the Raminator and Rammunition Monster Trucks from Hall Brothers Racing.

And many more classes of racing action from SRT Shootouts, to Super Pro, Pro (footbrake) and more.

A Special thanks to event sponsors:

TS Performance
Sun Coast Converters
Mass Diesel
Competition Diesel.com
Hayes Family of Dealerships

Hello
We recieved ours in the mail the other day.
I am planning on being there hopefully no huricanes head for NC this year this time. I am not going to race but I do hope to get there in time to sign up for a dyno run. Ive added a fuel pump to Leigh Ann's truck and I may have something else added by Sept. I am looking for her truck to be well over 1000 Ft LBS of Torque before she gets home in Dec. HP is nice but the torque is what you feel.

It has something to do with a big truck that sets you in the seat when you take off.

Take care
See Ya

Hello
Dennis
I am not sure right now, I go see the neurosurgerion (spelling??) on the 1 of Aug for my neck, right arm. I am hoping to make the Schield event and this event. Push come to shove I will make this event.

Another thing I have to consider is that is the heart of huricane season for us here on the coast of N C.

See Ya
Chris

Thanks!! It's going to take alot of tuning, but we're planning to head down anyway. It looks like a large event, will there be a 'diesel' section to hang out with just the diesel contenders?

You bet, we all have to have a place to hangout.

I reserve an area of the pits for the diesel competitors. It will be marked. I may move the area further down the track than I have in previous years so I can get more realestate since we grow in size each year.

And I have a solid commitment from the Dr. Performance and Keating teams so we will without question have a re-run of Bowling Green and hopefully Scott/Dustin will bring the Valvoline/ATS dragster out and Scheid Motorsports will have there dragster here too.

Mrs Smurf here,

PapaSmurf needs to bring that cool looking "strong running stock" duallie to Atlanta Dragway to see how she does. This truck hasn't run down the track in Commerce yet, the ole black duallie had two trips. Plus if I remember right, Papa likes the way the 5ver travels with those extra set of wheels. Ya'll have fun and don't forget to send me a video from the weekend festivities..... I should be back to floating around by the time this event happens. So much for tax free $$ and new things for her truck.

Enjoy,
Leigh
