1st Annual MSDTR Chapter #31 All Diesel Dyno Day
Well boys.....bad news. I'm thinking after all I probably won't make it. Was'nt gonna dyno, would have liked to but this thing with the truck has zapped the life out of the ol' bank. Working on the start of week 3 now, still waiting to here when it will be done. Guy said to call wednesday....will it be done?? Meanwhile I have an 8N I have to haul to the shop to fix for a guy, hopefully can pick it up this week to start making some coin. Plus a fella said he knows a guy who has a full blown school bus he needs to get rid of, no engine, trans or axles, just set on the ground with a porch built off the back. So I need to check that out and see if the guy is willing to pay me to haul it off. To big, and a lot of work in hauling that off...so this won't be a freebie like hauling off an old car.
My scrap metal hauling side biz is in shambles....due to the fact that I have no truck. Thought about busting out the explorer again to try and collect some of the stuff I have not picked up over the last two weeks and some dealers I know for sure are wondering where I am, but I hate to load the explorer like that anymore. I've hauled 5000lbs of rock behind it on my trailer but that was about 40,000 miles ago....so I fear destroying my wifes primary transportation, really have to get her that Dodge 2500 quad cab with the auto and Cummins......
When I get the truck back I have to immediately put the headache rack on and wire it up, toolbox, bedrails, rewire my trailer light plug and all my tools back on her so I can put her back to work and try and recover my loses before next months payment appears in my mailbox. So with all of this happening, hopefully get the truck back wednesday(cross fingers here) and a bunch of hours reassembling, wiring, picking up tractor/fixing tractor, etc,etc I will be lucky to sleep this weekend. Plus I never know who is gonna call with their car broke and needing me to fix it before monday, especially when I start getting personal projects going that I need to get done. Always happens, get busy on my junk and the phone rings..."can you fix my car". Not awful bad, they pay, my stuff don't.
I've thought about this for the last couple days and I really would like to be there, from videos and talk about other dyno days it sounds like it would be one heck of a time, plus to meet up with the guys again, hear a bunch of loud, black cloud billowing diesels!! But, I must try and get this girl work ready again...or I'll be showing up at the next meet in a 94' Saturn!!

Hey y'all
This weekend is the "Cooper-Young Festival" in Memphis.
I'm heading to TUPELO!!
My wife ain't interested in Dyno Daze, ain't I ain't interested in all the gay/lesbian/tree-huggers & hippies. We went there last year; some of the art & stuff for sale was interesting, but not enough for me to want to go back anytime soon.
Dmax, what time & where we meeting?
