My 24v cummins ve pump conversion

so my second vp44 died and i was always thinking about ppumping my truck but my friend has a 12v with it and it isn't as daily driver as i wanted it, so i decided to do the old 1992 ve pump with dynamic timing.
http://s635.beta.photobucket.com/use...tml?sort=3&o=5
removed the crappy vp44
http://s635.beta.photobucket.com/use...tml?sort=3&o=4
no more home for the vp44 what a sweet sight
http://s635.beta.photobucket.com/use...tml?sort=3&o=3
new home for the ve pump
http://s635.beta.photobucket.com/use...tml?sort=3&o=6
1992 non inter cooled ve pump arrived
http://s635.beta.photobucket.com/use...tml?sort=3&o=1
ve pump installed, I timed it on the letter c of the gear, and installed 3200 rpm spring
first run of the ve

my moded dv holders were leaking so i finally found a place that made custom lines and there on there way
so far the parts list needed
89-93 dodge ve pump preferably non intercooled
89-93 dodge ve pump gear
89-93 dodge timing cover
89-93 dodge overflow valve
89-93 fuel line
boost line kit
throttle linkage
imo 3200 rpm spring
custom injector lines i got mine from here http://ktperformance.net/
and then lol one wire for the shut off solenoid

Does this swap throw any codes, CEL's?

Nice work and thanks for sharing!

Might be the answer I've been looking for, getting tired of the VP44 sword
hanging over my head all the time. Time to quit staring at the FP gauge
and just drive

yes the cel is on(and has been for awhile due to the crappy vp44 lol), and im not sure what codes i need to hook up my scanner i guess but id think it would just be the vp44 missing codes, other than that everything else works great since i have the vacuum cruse control. thx i just hooked it up and there p1693 and p1689 are the only codes

cool I thought about doing this once too. how is it working? getting rid of the vp seemed like a good idea and I didn't want to stretch to the p pump conversion

The only thing that you would be stretching farther would be the p-pump lines, everything else is pretty much the same idea, just a few different parts.

I'm biased to the p-pump, but I always thought that VE swap would be a good fix for the VP. Good to see someone do it.
